Whats good everyone. I got a 04 TL Auto with blown head gasket. Stealership quotted $2500 for repair.

What would you guys suggest i do? Car runs fine once its warmed up, granted a little bit sluggish than before. Main problem is when starting it cold, sometimes it wont turn on unless i keep cranking it while holding down the gas. Then it shakes until warmed up.

Car currently has 160K miles. I have been looking up used engines going for around $450 - 600 but does that bring more risk to the car than just fixing the head gasket issue?

I am not good with cars so I need all the help I can get. I have taken to multiple local mechanics and they all claimed different problems which is why I took it to acura dealership.

If anyone knows a good reliable mechanic shop near southeast houston area, I would really appreciate the help.

Just out curiosity, how much would my car sell for with a blown head gasket??

Blown head <------ butt seriously though, it would range about $3-4K maybe.

Theres a buddy of mine here in dallas that can do it for $1000 or less. He builds engines. Got a turbo 3.7 accord swap hehe
