I got '5' confirmed bookings. It is a 'negotiated' price with the Holiday Inn peeps. It is at least 10% off according to the lady I spoke with the phone. I just didn't want to set up everything and NOT have 10 people committed.

It seems that I'm the only one here so I'll give my 
again... Where the hell is Taper, isn't he regional coordinator for Austin? 
It seems you guys are really set on staying up North. If that's the case, I suggest staying in the Domain area. Aloft has reasonable rates.. there's also a Westin there. Lots of open and covered parking as well. Terrific place to get some cool shots. Plus the Domain has fantastic restaurants and a sweet sports bar that's open til 2AM, downstairs Aloft.
If the price at Aloft or Westin is too pricey (~$140), there is a La Quinta about 300 yards from the Domain and an Extended Stay less than a mile straight shot that are < $100.
Also, closer to Weirdos. It's this cool bar wedged adjacent from mopac (1) and Parmer. Beach Volleyball, bar, ribs, it's a fucking party every weekend there. I've seen 3 full size chartered buses there.. You guys might enjoy it.. and around the corner from there is Cool River, a good restaurant that turns into a hip bar lounge. Crowd is late 20's early 40's.. Plenty Cougars so someone invite Doctor Cougar.
Alternatively, if you stay in the Arboretum area, I would actually stay central to S. Arboretum like Renaissance. There is a Z Tejas there.. Cheescake factory.. not much else though but far better than Holiday Inn.
I just feel like this meet is going to be super lame if you all stay at a commercial Holiday Inn that most Austin residents aren't familiar with. I mean, when a recruiter brings in a candidate, they put them up downtown or at the Domain to show them how cool Austin is.. not Holiday Inn to hang out at the hotel bar.
Anyways.. back to whorin'

Couldn't find any other vid to represent the layout.. but I checked out Yelp for pics and it seems things have gone downhill this year for them.. or people went there expecting more.. lol. Might not be bad to still check it out though.. their pupus are meh, but liquor and beach vball is good.. so.. it evens out.
Oh, I forgot.. the Hideout.. it's a freaking small shack but definitely the place to hit up after work. I have no idea what it's like on Sat eve.. and parking is horrible, but also a notable place for the area.

Fucking huge parking lot... but I kid you not, it gets filled. You can park on the street, no issues.
I saw some cougar giving some guy a bj in the walgreens parking lot next door around midnight..
