***Big as Texas Oasis Meet*** December 1st 2012! Plan on being there!
TLDude876 & I have decided to have the Big as Texas Meet at the largest outdoor restaurant in Texas! The meet will be at The Oasis Restaurant in Austin which has breath taking views overlooking Lake Travis, fun windy roads leading to it, and plenty parking. We are going to reserve a private room at the restaurant if possible and try to select a hotel that is willing to provide a group rate. ~Anakalia

We thought about it but most persons will be coming from out of town and have to go to work on Monday so having it on a Sunday will be inconvenient for the majority. The plan as of now is to meet somewhere local in Austin then roll up to Oasis together. We can then hang out on 6th st or somewhere that night.

It'll have to be sheer luck, but I voted for Dec. I'm already asking for November 3rd off.
May try to bring it up a week before though with a "pretty please".

if you all do it on Sat Dec. 1st, the out of towners may want to stay overnight and show up to Austin Cars & Coffee Sunday morning Dec. 2nd.
Each month is a different theme, like German, British, US and more. December's theme is Far East, so a great chance for us to all show up together and make a good impression.
The event is held in Leander in the main town square. Groups and Clubs can park together and these are very well attended and very organized. More info here

The thing 40,000 people from all over the world are coming in to see... you know.. the event that sold out all the hotel rooms in a 50 mile radius back in March.. You can stay at my house and my rental house.. $800 / nt per room (shared occupancy).

When compiling the list of attendees, let's determine who will be planning to attend Cars & Coffee the next morning. I'll notify the organizers of our expected group size so they can block off a section for us all. We will need to arrive by 9:00-9:30 to get our spot and it runs from 11:00-2:00.
I would suggest we all meet in an empty lot nearby and then all show up together, help ensure we stay grouped together.

I should be in for the 1st folks. And as I run Coffee and Rides in San Antonio, I actually want to check out the event on Sunday morning before leaving so I will be spending the night myself and hope to split the room with someone.
Can't wait to check it out and go to the Texas Acura meet since I have missed a few years of them!
