What is my best option for watching netfli/hulu on my tv

I have made a jump to newer a/v equipment and want to try out netfli or hulu.

I have a samsung lcd, xbox360, yamaha rx-v671, panasonic dmp-bd65, cable box, wired router.

I set up a netflix acct with a month free service. To use the xbox i need to pay $60 a year plus netflix fees.

It seems like netflix doesn't have many title to stream.

What are some good options to view movies, old and new and how do i access them?

I have hdmi sent from the receiver to the tv/blue ray and x-box if that really matters.

thanks

Roku, thing is awesome!! Get the XS, you can do wired or wireless, plus you can you a usb drive to play movies. And it does games, but I like it being wired, plus 1080p.

Your Samsung LCD does not support netflix stream? Netflix is good to stream, good quality, but mostly older movies and shows. Enjoy =]

I looked at that last night and it is supposed to. I didn't have time to mess with it last night. If that works, i'll use that.

I wasn't sure if there was a better method to get tv shows and movies.

I got it to work after a while on the blue ray player. For $8 a month, it's not too bad at all.

Would there be a reason to roku at all? Are there more titles that i can access elsewhere with it?

Roku has more "channels" than any other "streaming" company right now. The TV people have a few, but what's on Roku will floor you. Plus the TV companies are very slow to add new "channels" just like you are use to with cable companies.

XS, is currently their top o line box. I liked wired, but also bought so I could watch copied movies and TV shows I ripped via their USB media player. Though I have not tried that part yet.

If you can stream everything you want through you blue ray or game unit then you may not need Roku. We also decided to pay the $8.00/mo for Hulu+ to get a little more selection.

I also hooked up interior HD antenna and receive about 30 local stations (most useless).

as nice as that is, i dont want to have to deal with the hassle of copying the movies to a thumbdrive.

I didn't know if there was another resource that would give me more things to watch and more up to date movies than netflix has to stream. Their selection doesn't seem that great or maybe i'm not looking that well.

love my logitech revue. It's a little quirky at times and lacks Hulu support(TV has it built in). But it also has a flash based web browser for some movie streaming and web surfing.

Depending on your comfort level I'd recommend a Roku or if you want even 'more' get a used PS3. You can get Netflix, Hulu, sports (such as MLB), stream movies and music from your computers AND have a blu-ray player.

Just for completeness I'll mention Boxee Box. The dedicated appliance has an awesome
remote (full QWERTY keyboard on the back). Boxee has a web browser and does a great
job as a media server if you have a lot of content already saved to your PC. At present
it doesn't have Hulu Plus support, that's in negotiation and is supposed to be available
"soon".

If you're a nerd, you can download the Boxee software (its Open Source) and turn
an old PC into a Boxee.

With PS3, you have to have Sony account, right? And we all know how fucked up they are?

Not sure about more when it comes to streaming, from what I've read Roku has the most channels at this time.

That's what I was asking, don't you have to have the account to start with? Them not being secure with the information is what I'm talking about. Even now that they had the problem, I've read that they still don't get it, about protecting the information.

You can have an account and NOT give them any CC information.
No CC# is required.

But you still have to give them information to set up an account? You just can't plug it in and use it? Is part of the "experience" or do you have to pay for the feedthrough of streaming companies? Is it a tiered service?

Have a couple of Roku boxes, plus we stream it on our PS3... so we have several TV's setup for streaming. We actually have both Netflix and Hulu+ (plus an OTA antenna) so we're ~$50/mo all in and pretty much watch everything we used to with cable...
