Nice, but I'm looking for a 19" which would be THIS ONE from DELL:
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/P...=19&iCompatid=

For 611

Sounds like a nice unit. WHO makes it for them???

I checked out the ViewSonic and I like it.
Not enough to purchase right now though.

I also saw the SONY SDM HX93 and I think I like that one better.
Price is a bit more of course.
Best Buy doesn’t sell this model, but it’s 799 at Circuit City after 100-dollar rebate.

I have the 1800FP UltraSharp. Very nice. Need a discount on the 19? I can probably get you anywhere from 10% to 25% off. LMK

Anyone have any recommendations on places that sell this SONY ???

It must be a newer model because I’m coming up blank on several searches.
Seems like only Circuit City, J&R’s & Amazon sell this particular one.

No way buddy. I scour the NET and research the SHIT out of expensive stuff before I buy it.

I just bought a 250-GIG Western Digital SE Hard Drive at Circuit City yesterday for a net cost of 85-dollars.
How’s THAT for a deal ???

No, not yet. I’m flying in a holding pattern right now waiting for the Christmas deals.
I saw that one at Circuit City, but didn’t look into the specs.

I really like the Sony SDM-HX-93, but not many places sell that one.
Circuit City dies, but at 899-100 rebate I’m still waiting.

Which one did you have that died ?

yeah... I'm eyeing the Viewsonic VX900... If Dell would have a 10% off sale and a couple stackable coupons, it could be had for under $600...

Just a side note, Dell's monitors are rebranded Samsungs.
They are not exactly equivalent - the Dell's you can't pivot.

But the screen itself is the same, and mine (the 191T) is an excellent monitor indeed. Just something to keep in mind.
The 19"s are 1600x1200 too, and keep in mind you HAVE to use
the LCDS at native resolution or they tend to look like crap.

Not all of them are. For instance, the Dell E151FPp 15" LCD I'm usng right now is made by Phillips.
To find out who makes which Dell monitor go to:
http://tco.networks.nu/index_publicsearch.htm

Then click select "Dell" from the "Brand Name" dropdown, then select "Display-Flat" from the product type dropdown. When you click on "search" it'll give you who makes which monitor that Dell rebrands. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you the equivalent model number

That is definitely a PLUS, especially since I’m running 1600x1200 on my 19” tube right now.
If I drop back the resolution I might not like it.

How often does DELL run deals like what is posted above and can everyone get these “small business” deals?

From what I understand, anyone can buy under small business and use their SS# as the Tax ID. The downside is that you pay tax while a legitimate business be exempted. As for the frequency of these 25% deals, the last time I saw one was about 3 months ago.

I'd buy that Dell monitor IF it didn't have the stinkin' Dell badge on it!

It'd look kind of silly sitting above an Apple G4. :P
