My phone runs like a piece of shit now. I just upgrade my Galaxy s5 from kit kat to the new lollipop 5.0 so many flaws I don't even know where to start. It ran perfect with the kit kat software now I hate my phone. Is anybody else having issues or am I the only one here?

5.0 FUCKED up my Nexus 5.
issued 5.0.1 and fixed a few problems, but still sucked.
I had just gotten 5.1 maybe less than a month ago and all is well.

I just got the update. It's not too bad.

My wife is still running Kit Kat, she hasn't did the upgrade yet, so I got to compare. (Plus she's waiting for 5.1 to drop.)

There are somethings I'm not liking (which it may be a fix, haven't played with it) is that when the phone is on silent the Alarm will not go off, even though with Kit Kat it would.

Also, the keyboard (numeric) seems bigger and they moved the end call button to the middle. (that will just take time to get used to)

Also, I don't get my Text, email notifications at the top anymore and when it's plugged into the charger it doesn't blink when a message comes thru like it used to. (But again, it may just involve me going in there and changing some settings)

5.0.2 and 5.1 fixed the issue on my Nexus 7 and Nexus 5. Then again, mine wasn't as bad as from what I read. A lot of people experiencing the slowdowns say that a factory reset seems to resolve the lag. Makes sense as there was a lot of changes from 4.4.4 to 5.0 especially ART.

Well I hope samsung gets there shit together and gets the 5.1 out asap. I wish I would have read a little before I went for the update.

Your carrier matters too. They don't release them all at the same time. 4.4.4 on my Note 4 was damn good. 5.0.1 is pretty good too.

Just updated my LG G2 to 5.0.2. Though I'm not disappointed, I'm not impressed either. I like that fact that I can make my car's bluetooth a "trusted device" so I don't have to unlock my phone when it's connected. I don't like the fact that I can't assign symbol keys in messaging. I haven't updated my wife's phone and probably won't. I'm sure that will just cause me headaches in the long run.

The way around this is to set up the "priority" sound profile so that it's silent. When it's in that mode the alarm will still sound (b/c "alarm is always priority"). To change profiles just hit the volume up or down key and choose priority.

nope, when i read your issues, all i did was google "samsung S5 + 5.1" "5.0.1" "5.0.2"

which came up with articles pointing at release dates, etc. some sources cant be trusted, but the one article that I did trust said Samsung is pushing the 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 depending on which carrier you are using.

the article mentioned that because samsung uses their own "Skin" or overlay that they will have to test the updates to see if they are stable, thus why they are not pushing 5.1, yet.

my nexus 5 was un-usable for a month. I had to actually use it as a phone, strictly calling as all apps were crashing CONSTANTLY. it sucked, but I couldnt do anything but wait til the appropriate update fixed the issues.

i took it as a sign that I was too connected and went out and had fun IRL.
but i know that most people are not like me and are very impatient.

google does release the .apk's so that you can sideload the updates via PC, but when googling your phone, I couldnt find the updates... which means Samsung is holding them back for some reason, probably the reason I mentioned above....they are testing it.

which means they prematurely released 5.0 to you.
