Nice machine.

If she is looking to not quite spend so much, I would ditch the i7. VERY few people actually need it.

I don't think Costco has any 2 in 1's with a slower chip.

Just saying, in general, most people have no need for i7, so if an i5 is available for less, jump on it.

If that's all Costco has, go for it.

If anyone is looking to score a Blu Ray player for cheap, check out your local Walmart for a Sony BGP-S2500. It's a Walmart exclusive that was a black friday deal that no one wanted. I picked one up for $45.
Manual is here https://docs.sony.com/release/BDPS2500_EN.pdf

It has HDMI, but no Coax. It has WiFi but no RJ45. HDMI cable not included. No 4K upscaling.

Nice pickup!

Here is a chart showing the TBW for each of the EVO drives:

Obviously, most people will never approach the TBW, but it's good to know for data hogs.

Does the "surround" actually work on this? I've had a couple of $300 Sony's and even with the wall behind me in a small room, I hear 0 surround.

Check with your credit card issuer. Quite a few of them offer price protections

https://www.nerdwallet.com/blog/cred...nd-price-drop/

The Nerds have confirmed that MasterCard, Discover, Citi and select Chase cards offer price protection. Visa doesn’t say which cards offer it as a perk. To find out whether your Visa card offers price protection, call your card issuer.

I checked and Visa only covers it for a PRINT advertised item and specifically states NOT WEB SITE ADVERTISED. Well, Amazon doesn't exactly have a newspaper they advertise in, so I am SOOL. If it weren't for the consistent product quality and lightning fast shipping I get from Newegg, I might start buying from Amazon...

Buy drive from Amazon. If you have Amazon Prime, you should get it in like 2 days. Then just do a return on the new Amazon drive. Don't think there's a restock fee if item is unopened and within return period.

FWIW, I am grabbing a Seagate 2.5" USB hdd today for some photo backup needs when I am out and about or travelling...

I had a 500GB that I used, but I just sent to someone and need one before I think it will be returned.

LOL, you knew exactly why I didn't want a Seagate. So the 3TB had the issues, good to know.
