question for all..
I've got Sprint service w/ a Sanyo VM4500 phone. Excellent phone and service but I have only one problem. Every once and a while i'll go to make a call and I'll type in the numbers...then press "talk" to actually start the call. What will happen is the timer will start going like it's in the middle of a call but nothing will happen. I will be able to hear my own voice in the earpiece like an echo but the phone will never actually ring...I would have to hang up and start the whole thing over again. And the worst part is the phone I'm trying to call will ring so when the other person picks up they don't get anything. This echo problem has happen to me like 20 times since I got the phone 3 weeks ago and it gets really annoying...sometimes I'll have to try like 5 times in a row to get it to work properly...but the person I'm trying to call has to have it ring 5 times and pick it up every time.
Is this problem w/ my phone or is it a Sprint problem...what can I do????
Also one more question...I got the PCS vision pack w/ the phone and haven't used it for anything except downloading different ringers and shit from 3gupload.com. And the first 2 months of the vision pack is free. My bill is gonna come out to like $80 a month when I start getting charged for it. My question is if I purchase the PC link cable for my phone...will I be able to uplaod different ringers into my PC from my phone and just re-install them whenever I want??? What I would be doing is downloading like 200 ringers and screensavers from 3gupload.com now while my vision pack is free. Then I'll upload them into my computer w/ the link cable, and then go back and install them in my phone w/o accessing the web. Is this possible cause I wanna cancel my vision pack but don't wanna get stuck w/ the same ringers that I have now.
Thanks to all advice and please help me

On the ringer situation, I believe if you do not have Vision, you can still continue the upload and exchange all the ringers you wish as long as you have cable and PC software. All you have to do is give it a try after you cancel Vision, I don't think you'll have any problems.

About your failure to connect, I re-read your description and I'm not sure exactly what could be causing it. I'm going to do some research and see what I come up....if there is anyone else on here with this particular Sanyo, the VM4500 or the SCP-5500, having the same problem, please describe.

I have had that same problem a bunch of times, the echo thing. My girlfriend has it too. It used to happen frequently, but it hasn't happened to me for a while.
We are both using sanyo scp 5150.
