So I ahvea had Alltel for a long time and my plan is about to end. I am looking into getting Verizon. Both Alltel and Verizon are on the CDMA network and my friend told me because of this they use the same towers and therefore the same phones on both providers get the same reception. I have never heard of this, is it true? Any recomendations on services I need one of the plans where you can share minutes and Verizon is $20 a month extra per phone and I need to share it with both my mom and dad which comes out 2 an extra $40 a month 2 share minutes!!!

 

They are both CDMA and do share some of the networks but I dont know if they share all.

You cant add a Verizon plan and mix it with Alltel.

 

^ I think you miss understood me a little, what i meant was basically is the service just as good on both verizon and Alltel since they are on the same network or can one be better. I know everyone with Verizon i know gets better service than Alltel but I am wondering if it is because of the extreme shittyness of most Alltel phones or is it the actual service. Thanks
