Congrats!

Old news, but worthy of mention anyway. AT&T dropped the price to $99 and its now available in red and white as well.

I've had my torch for about two weeks now, and I must say I am very impressed. I previously had a Bold 9000 and 9700. After the storm and Storm II I was weary of a BB touch screen, but I think they pulled it off well. I bought it after the .246 update was released, so i didn't get all the bugs that some people got.

the accelerometer and touch screen are crisp, apps that use the accelerometer are much better, almost iphone level (check out the game Road Mania)

I got the torch because I was weary of a touch screen keyboard (I love my physical keyboards) but after using the touch screen keyboard of the torch, I doubt I'll ever slide it to use the physical keyboard that much at all anymore

Overall the torch exceeded my expectations.

I was the same way about the touch keyboard. That's honestly why I didn't get a Galaxy S instead. I tend to use both. Sometimes the touch screen kb is better, sometimes the physical kb is the only way to go.

I've been impressed by some of the accelerometer apps. Currently addicted to the Labyrinth.

What OS version did your phone come with?

Install 337, it's MUCH better than whatever your phone probably has...

ok now that they have dropped the prices. im considering it again.

I was seriously leaning towards epic4g in sprint. one of my friends, long time blackberry guy switched over to that phone and loves it.

in sprint, everything unlimited for only about 90+ a month. Att is a lot more than that I think.

That's a well known bug with OS6. There's no way to fix it. When it does it to me, I hit the "R" button on the keyboard, which is the shortcut for Reply and it brings it all the way down to the bottom.

Awesome! Been looking for a screen protector! How is the finish? I've seen some that are very shiny and others that have kind of a matte finish. Its hard to explain, but I always feel like my fingers kinda stick to the shiny ones, but not the matte ones.

As for battery life, the earlier builds were definitely better for me. At worst, if I abuse the crap out of it all day I'm at 20 - 30% at the end of the day. And an average day for me is unplugging it before 6am when I get up and not plugging it back until almost 2am when I do finally go to bed. I know I'm not giving it a full charge, which may be why I'm not getting 2 full days out of it anymore, but unfortunately life isn't allowing for that right now.

its sort of a shiny finish.. still extremely easy to maneuver though, and it is VERY close to having nothing on the screen at all (the only way I can tell is from it being a little off when I was putting it on).

It fits perfectly and doesnt look like it'll ever peel unless I pry at it haha definitely worth my 2 dollars

Awesome, finally ordered them. Actually had a few bucks in my paypal account that I had forgotten about, so it didn't really cost anything either!

Oh, in case anyone's curious, the pouch for the Curve 83xx series phones will hold the Torch, but the sleeper magnet is in a different location so that functionality doesn't work.

Ordered the AGF GRT case this morning off fleabay. I wasn't happy with the Otterbox. The bezel that snaps onto the front around the screen broke. Apparently its a common problem with them. The AGF case is supposedly different though. The front and back pieces attach to each other rather than attaching to the phone. We'll see when it comes in. Comes with 2 different color front pieces too

Cheapo screen protector referenced in the last few posts has been holding up well. There's a bubble on the corner that's been there since installation. Don't think its from putting it on either. Oh well, what do you want for 58 cents?

^I kno its about a month old alrdy, but really? That sucks, it mightve been from installation or a defective protector... Ive had mine on since November (3 months?) and even tho its not aligned 100%, I still dont have bubbles.

awesome phone, still have problems with my texts not showing the most recent... but owell haha

Not too worried about the bubble in the screen protector. Its serving its purpose. Also got drunk one night and emailed Otterbox about the broken trim ring. Looking back, it was a pretty well worded email actually. They were quick to reply and sent me a replacement with a screen protector. I'll post impressions when I get around to applying it.

Also, first software leak in months came out. 2 actually. 448 and 450 dropped within hours of one another. Planning on installing 450 this weekend.

So I had 6.0.0.337 installed and lately it just has gotten to be way too laggy. Anything I tried to go into would have a 5 second delay. It was making me crazy. I just upgraded to OS version 6.0.0.448, and my phone finally feels normal again. There's a leaked version 450 out there too, but the reviews are mixed, and to find the file now isn't so easy. For those that have 337 now, install 448, you won't regret it..
