Besides your Timeport battery wouldn't permit you to talk more than one hour in analog mode.

i dunno about you, but when i drove from denver to omaha, (sept 11th -- got screwed, had to drive back) anyways ... was on the phone the ENTIRE 10 hours ... imagine what the roaming charges on sprint would've been. that is one example. i dont know why you deny it, and it very well may be part of the reason why verizon has twice as many customers, but everybody i talk to complains of the analog roaming charges on sprint. usually they complain (as you've seen on this site) about the coverage ... but second thing i hear is the roaming charges. nothing sucks more than an expected bill at the end of the month.
anyways, who cares where the costs are built in. the numbers don't lie. 30 million customers, 17,000 cell sites. at least 10 people on here constantly praising verizon. oh, and i seriously doubt you guys can build anywhere in the US. you have to provide coverage in all areas that you have licenses for, otherwise you lose it.

All of our sites are digital. How many of those 17,000 are old and outdated analog towers?
Yep, a Sprint customer can use those towers, too. And we don't have any customers in those states.
