My cordless mouse keeps eating batteries..
just put in a new set of Duracell batteries yesterday and already it is saying the batteries are low... I downloaded the software for the mouse to see if that helps, but does anyone have an idea of why it is doing this..
Thanks for any help.

Yes they really do work, i was amazed on how much sound is canceled out before you start to listen to music. Are they worth $300 ? only you can answer that for yourself, i've tried many headphones and out of all of them i'd still pick BOSE.
But then again i really like BOSE, i have several of there products, there one of only a few companies that stand behind there products, you can call them up and all they want to do is make you a happy camper. In my case there sending me out a replacement headset b/c of the battery issue, no questions asked.
I've had them for close to a year and used them nearly everyday with no complaints.
With any BOSE product you can try them for 30days, if you dont like them return the product and get a full refund again no questions asked. You have nothing to lose by giving it a try and they have free shipping, if your not close to a bose store.

Rechargeable mouse is the way to go. Or you can try different batteries, maybe use Duracell Ultra vs. the Coppertop. I always liked the Duracell Ultra, although I am not sure if there are any quality change in their batteries after Proctor and Gamble bought the Gillette Company.

I have a set at home too, the battery life is about 6-9 months. Check the lens of the mouse to see if any dirt trap in it. Since the sensor sense the change of light. The dirt in the hole will trip the sensor and drain your battery.

I have the exact same mouse for my laptop for work....
I use it for about 8-10 hours a day and only change the batteries once every three months. There must be something wrong with yours. I now use rechargable batteries, which also work very well.
