Microsoft Word for Mac?

Looking for a MIcrosoft Word program that I can use on my Macbook Pro. Just looking to save files in Microsoft Word and be able to e-mail them.

Lol. You live so close I could come over and install it. But yes you can get office for Mac. They sell it at the apple store at the international mall and at the best buy on drew and 19

Or you can use iWork or apple pages which can be downloaded from the Mac app store. Or you can use libre office which is free.

Office for Mac shouldn't have have any compatibility issues with reading word files but if you make heavily formatted doc files using the other options there maybe formatting and layout issues when you view them in word for pc. So it might be best if yu stick with office for mac.

Save them as a .rtf (Rich Text File). rtfs are compatable across most word processing software.

And there always is Office for Mac. Or VMWare will run windows on your Mac, but you will need a windows install and virtual machine setup.

He needs it for a resume so I wouldn't trust google docs to keep formatting. But speaking of which he can use the free office web apps, which are probably as good or better than gDocs and are guaranteed not to screw up formatting.

no but the web version is free and works fine on Mac. Office 2010 starter edition is pretty suite though, it covers most people's needs.

Yeah, I saw that when I was looking last year. Was able to buy Office for Mac from amazon.com for about $60, for my wife. She wanted PowerPoint included.

^ you can save pages files as .doc or docx but there's the possibility of formatting issues which is something I wouldn't want to risk when making a resume.
