MBP + Wireless card/blackberry + battery

1. I was just about to go pickup the MBP. I've been told verizon doesn't have the vz access manager for mac. Is it still possible to connect a blackberry to the MBP to use EVDO on the go?

2. I haven't been able to find a DC adapter to connect the MBP to a cig. lighter in the car. Any ideas?

3. Cheapest place to get an extra battery?

4. Is there a windows media player for mac?

5. How do you guys like parallels for the one or two progs that wont run on mac?

6. How is entrouge (I'm sure there is something better...but I connect to an exchange server)

7. 1799 for * 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 1440 x 900 pixels
* 1GB memory
* 120GB hard drive1
* 6x double-layer SuperDrive
* ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 128MB SDRAM

I assume I can't get a better deal, correct?

8. What do you guys use for AIM? I don't think AIM for mac has been updated in decades.

9. Is it possible to setup a PPTP connection to automatically connect whenever the laptop is connected to the internet?

Done. TIA

www.evdoinfo.com / www.evdoforums.com = more information then you'll ever need for using EVDO on OSX. I'm pretty certain VZW does make an access manager for OSX, if not already, then soon.

Otherwise use 3rd party drivers, like I do for Sprint.

I dont think one has been made for the MBP yet, but some people use the Airline Adapter, and some hackup their own solutions (mikegyver.com)

I have a DC->AC adapter in my car for other devices, so i never really looked into a DC MagSafe adapter.

Get an official battery, heard to many problems with 3rd party batteries. Not sure where to get them cheap. I use just one and it suits me fine.

Yes, but I prefer the many other media players on Mac (QuickTime/VLC/etc) so I just use the Flip4Mac WMV codecs. Allows you to play WMV in any media player. Microsoft offers them for download from their WMP site.

It's amazing, and with the new coherence mode even more astonishing.

It comes with iChat, but most people use Adium. It's like Trillian but much slicker. (Havent you asked this before?)

Yah. After last time I bought two with problems out of the box. Might as well try again. I'm tired of windblows.
