iPod Touch Memory

My daughter wants an iPod Touch 4 for her birthday. She had an iPod Touch 3, and claimed in was broken (even though I can still use it in my TSX).

My wife said to get the 64GB, and I said 32GB would be all she needed. She only uses it for songs and maybe some pics.

I know 64 is twice of 32, but in terms of songs of say 2.5 minutes, how many could she store on a 32GB?

My other argument is that the iPod 5 will be out next year. I think my daughter wants a new iPod for facetime... troubling as a father.

Thanks, as i have ordered a white one with engraving (there goes selling it on eBay).

Thank goodness my 15-year old daughter is happy with the new 8G iPod Nano and a keyboard-less Tracfone...

Yeah, I bought it from Apple with free shipping and engraving. Her birthday is 2 weeks from Friday. I just need to hedge the whining from my wife who'll say why didn't you get the 64gb version.

^ that sounds about right. I have approximately 2,500 songs on an older 30g in my car, and I know there is still tons of room on it.
