How many cell phones have you had?

I've had a cellphone since '94, the year I got engaged, it was with Bell Atlantic Mobile.

1- Motorola Micro Tac or Tac II had it for a few years and got rid of it shortly after getting married, then used pager for work

2- Some Nextel phone for work had for four years

3- Razr, had for over eight years

4- iphone (current two months)

Seem a lot of people go through phones like underwear

Need a poll, you noob!

I think I'm on my sixth since 1994.
Still using a Razr V3 from 2006-- just put in a battery last month to replace the OEM one.

1 - Some crappy Sony Ericsson flip phone
2 - Awesome LG flip phone
3 - Nextel i95
4 - Nextel i860
5 - HTC Star Treck Flip phone (Windows Mobile)
6 - LG Vu (for about a month)
7 - iPhone 3G
8 - HTC Nexus One (Current)

I'm waiting for something worthwhile to come out to replace my Nexus, which has been amazing. I'm hoping for a Nexus 2.

3 or 4 over a very long period of owning cellphones.
I hang onto phones for a long time since I don't use them often enough to get too pissed off with their quirks or to notice what I'm missing out on with a newer phone. I basically turn on my phone when I go out and turn it off again once I get home.

I know someone who could easily get a new phone every few months, or 6 months max. and I always have to roll my eyes. Buying a phone that often here means you're paying for the phone outright without getting a discount (due to a new contract) and I think it's ridiculous. But again, I'm not one who uses the cell much.

Motorola (brick phone)
Samsung M500
Blackberry 8830
Palm Pre (heavily modded, overclocked)

I seem to keep my phones for 3 or more years on average.

1. Sony Ericsson P800 (Loved this phone. It was advanced for its time and wanted to get a P910 but it was too expensive )
2. Motorola V60
3. Sony Ericsson t68i (Crappy free phone. Only used it for a few months.)
4. HTC 8125
5. Samsung G600
6. Nokia N95
7. HTC Ion (Still fall back to this phone once in a while when I'm modding my Galaxy S and still mod it.)
8. Samsung Galaxy S i9000T (current phone until I can't mod it any more.)

Modded all my phones except for the V60 and the t68i. I change phones about once a year that's why I never do contracts.

My first phone, in 1991 looked something like this...You know it's old when you literally can't find pics of it on the web.

It was a car phone with a brain that mounted under the seat.

Then this...

Motorola i1000 Plus

Treo 180

Treo 270

Treo 650

Treo 755P

iPhone4

My first cell phone was a factory one that came with the car I bought in 1992..in a 1989 Nissan Maxima. It was huge! The best part was that everyone thought it was cool as heck, which it was back then. Then came Motorola in 1994, then a Nokia, Black Berry, Sony Ericsson, and many many others I have forgotten. I usually change a cell phone every year or whenever I see something I like on the market. I love GSMs because you can use any phone around the world if it's not locked. But right now, I'm using a iPhone 4 from ATT.

my first phone was in 2002. From what I can remember my timeline went something like:
nokia 3300 series
Seimens s40
nokia uhm 6200?
Some motorola flip phone
Samsung SGH-d900
Sony Ericsson w580
Blackberry Bold 9000
Blackberry Curve 8520
iPhone 3gs

Probably some other ones in there when one phone broke, but before I got a new one, but as far as what I've actually owned, I think that's it.

I've had a cell phone since I was 14 or 15, can't remember exactly, but I had 2 old school analog motorola flip phones, 2 nokias, a samsung flip phone, a kyocera piece of shit, 2 Motorola camera phones, 2 HTC MDA's, an LG Envy for my last job, 5 blackberry curves for this current job, on my second mytouch 3g slide droid phone, and have an iphone 3gs for work so... 19 phones total?

Not sure if I forgot any, I'll think about it
