Digital Phone Service??

my mom just got digital phone service. Does anyone have it, is it any good? I know nothing about it besides what i see on commercials etc. Any advice/concerns experience etc would be appreciated

They offer that here too but its $40/mo and doesn't include voice mail. I run Vonage over my Time Warner cable for only $25/mo including voice mail and every feature you could imagine. Works great.

cool i will look into vonage.
One of my questions is how do all the phones hook up through the service? Like do you hook it up somewhere special in your house so it goes through all of the phone jacks?

Most houses have inside wiring that can handle at least two phone lines. You could take an unused pair, disconnect it from the phone company in the box on on side of the house, then connect a short patch cord from the Vonage box to a nearby jack. All of the other jacks in the house connected to that jack would be connected to Vonage.

I use a cordless system. (http://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs...00000000005702) My phone's base unit can handle up to 8 handsets. Line 2 on my phone connects to Vonage and I have two more handsets in other rooms. The remote handsets only need access to electricity to keep charged.
