Thumbs up Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop

I finally got my brand spanking new laptop, top of the line Dell Inspiron 8100 with close to everything. I was getting tired of my desktop at home which is a POS. OMG, I just love everything about this laptop. As you can tell this is my first laptop so excuse my enthusiasm.

Now I just might have to read the manual to find out what are all these buttons for.:p I am so used to clicking on a mouse so this touchpad is a little awkward right now but I know I'll get use to it.

I got mine a couple of months ago. Great machine. How did you have it configured? I got P3/866, 20GB, 512MB (from Crucial), 56k+10/100 mini PCI, 1400x1050 display with 16MB, DVD/CD-RW combo, 2nd battery, XP Pro. If you plan on using it in one place most of the time, get a good USB optical mouse from Logitech. The touchpad takes some getting used to but I didn't get a mouse because I didn't want one more thing to lug around.

...also, if you ever intend to do any graphics work on it - a mouse is a must.
