Thank you guys very much for the replies.
So the case comes with these 5 huge fans. They were all working the whole time. The case brand is Azza I think.
For the four hour, I wasn't doing anything gpu heavy. It was fine for that four hours.
The problem started after I started watching the 720p movie.
I did put that CD that came in the graphic card box and installed something. But I do remember one of the things failed to install, don't remember what it was but I just shrugged it off.
I haven't checked the fans on the graphic card. There r three small fans on the card itself. Are they all supposed to be working all times?
Thanks guys. Appreciate it.

The software on CD may be out of date/old. Download the new Radeon drivers here:
Windows 64 bit: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...w_vista64.aspx
Windows 32 bit: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...w_vista32.aspx
Uninstall your old drivers, install new drivers.
Yeah, all the fans on your GPU should be running all the time just like your CPU fan.... need to keep that sucker cool.
Wait 30 min to 1 hr to let PC cool down and then try starting it up again. If it starts up fine, then it's likely an overheating problem. What's the room temp like?
Also, check that extension cable you picked up from Fry's... make sure it's secure and didn't work itself loose. Some people reported that the extension cable I suggested from Newegg did accidentally come loose and caused starting/shut down problems.

Cons: After building pc, and being rock solid for 2 weeks, I got sudden random restarts. And then fail to even boot, or even post.

Thanks!
Just got up and tried to turn it on. It died on me after 10 seconds trying to boot up.....
What should I do!? It's not overheating I guess...

IME those video driver failure issues have always been caused by video drivers. I used to get those errors back in the day when Vista first came out because Nvidia's driver's were shit. It was never caused by hardware or overheating.

So, should I order another power supply?
Maybe it's because I've plugged in a lot of things together on one electrical outlet?

^that's another possibility too, however unlikely

When reinstalling the driver, uninstall the original driver first. Reboot. Then install new driver, then reboot again. It is normal for the screen to go black and come back looking ugly between driver installations.
It's a process but it's the only way to really remove everything besides using something like DriverSweeper which is really never recommended.
If it still has issues, maybe run an sfc /scannow through the command prompt. I've never had any issues clean installing ATI drivers.
Double check all of your power connections, reseat if necessary.
Just Thursday morning I had one instance with a bad video card in my work computer causing driver crashes/BSOD. But there were obvious problems with artifacts appearing during POST. Swapped the card and it was fine. Just one instance of hardware causing driver crash/BSOD.
And nvidia drivers are still pretty shit. The 2 latest revisions killed VGA output for the dual head 8400 GS we have in my office's workstations. That and Asus makes terrible OEM cards. Fan failure rate of like 20%, but I digress.

how much of the troubleshooting have you gone through in that link you posted? Which drivers did you install from the included discs?
If more than just the video card, go to the respective manufacturers' websites and download the latest drivers for everything. Also check to see if there's a firmware/BIOS update for your video card on the manufacturer's website. What brand and model is it specifically?
worst case scenario it's hardware related. But do all you can first software wise before RMAing or returning parts.
Does your friend have a spare known good PSU to test with? you dont even need to install the new PSU into the case, just have it hanging out and plug it in to the respective connectors. Or let him borrow your video card to see if it happens. If it works in his rig without issues then we know something's up with your particular build.
Something tells me with the failure to start as well as the slight load on the video card by playing movies..it could be PSU or power related. Bad or cheap PSUs can cause the weirdest problems. It's one of the things you really want a quality piece for.
Another thing to try is to run Prime95 or OCCT to stress your system. If your system crashes just by doing that it is either heat or power related. A computer running with everything normal should be able to cope for 24 hours. You still havent reported temps yet.

Looks like I'll be going with the Core i7 3770
Curious why the 3770k doesn't have all virtualization stuff.

This is happening to my computer. Sometimes, on the screen, I can see weird pixel dots... I've installed the latest drivers for the graphic card and motherboard... Time to time, the screen freezes for like 5 seconds, the screen goes black, and come back and it's all fine, but I get that error message saying the AMD driver failed but recovered.. Everything else about this computer is just awesome.

I played Diablo 3 on high setting for long time couple weeks ago with zero problem too. It happens a lot when I use IE. Google Chrome is fine, just some pixel dots sometimes.

Oliver!!!
Started looking at laptops and totally went to the dark side. I got a Dell. XPS17 (L702X). Got it during the Dell signature event a few months ago. Between the signature discount and the work discount it only cost me $1k.
i7 2670QM
8GB Ram
NVidia GT555 3GB discreet video card (wanted a GTX560 but systems with that were a bit out of my reach)
1080p screen
BD-RE drive
750GB 7200 RPM drive
JBL 2.1 sound
Sound Blaster X-Fi
Backlit keyboard
Intel Centrino N-6230 wireless card with bluetooth (don't remember why I opted for that one as opposed to the base model)
The extended battery coupled with the Optimus technology yields amazing results. I can sit at work and watch Blu Ray movies for 8 hours at a time without having to plug it in. Can even game on it for a while on battery. And speaking of gaming, it'll play Diablo III with zero lag with all the graphics set on high.

I've got spurs...
Just cleaned up my whole case and removed all the dust bunnies. I also just installed a new CPU heat sink. I got the Coolmaster hyper 212 Plus. Installation wasn't too bad.
My idle cpu temps went from the mid-fifties to the low twenties!
Not the best looking cable management, but it's not blocking any air flow.

Just scored the following components for $350 from a good friend!
-i7 2700k (Stable at 4.5Ghz)
-Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3
-16GB GSkill Ripjaws
Should be getting the parts into my computer this weekend! Finally saying goodbye to DDR2 and AMD.

aaand hardware installed:
H50 is barely cutting it at stock clocks. May need to upgrade soon. Hopefully the curing of the Arctic Silver 5 would drop some degrees. Currently running a repair/upgrade install to refresh the OS for the new hardware. (Coming from an AMD hardware, I'm surprised it even booted without BSOD)

- nVidia FX5200
- 1GB DDR1 PC-2700
- WD 80GB IDE
- CD Burner/DVD Reader (:POFL)
- Antec Sonata II
- 450W Antec Power Supply
I later added in a ATi Radeon 9700 Pro and 2 more gigs of ram over the next two years. Later junked it.
~ 2007 half way through
- AMD (S939) 3200+
- ASRock S939 Dual-SATA2 (PCI-e and AGP)
- ATi Radeon 9700 Pro
- 3GB DDR1 PC-2700
- WD 80GB IDE
- WD 320GB SATA
- Antec Sonata II
- 450W Power Supply
I later added in an ATi Radeon (Diamond brand) X1800XL within 6 months. After repeated motherboard issues, I upgraded to an Intel system and smashed the friggin motherboard in half.
~2008 Beginning
- Intel Core2Duo E4500
- Asus P5K-VM
- ATi Radeon X1800XL
- 4GB DDR2 PC2-6400
- WD 320GB SATA
- WD 320GB SATA (data drive)
- Cheap, shitty, crap generic case with more sharp edges than a bag of razor blades
- 450W PSU
I later upgraded to a 550W Power Supply and threw in an HD4850. Sold to a friend. Got a Lenovo 3000 Desktop on top of like $500.
~2010
- Intel Core2Quad Q6600 (@ 3.8GHz)
- Asus P5K-e WiFi AP
- AMD Radeon HD4850
- 6GB DDR2 PC2-6400
- WD 320GB SATA
- Samsung 1TB SATA2
- Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB Sata 2
I threw in a 850W PSU and ran CrossFire HD5850's. I kept this system for a little while in until I sold it to a friend's dad with a HD4650 and only the 320GB drive for about $450 (was given to my friend as his "birthday present").
~2011 March

- Western Digital 750GB Caviar Green
- Sapphire HD6850
- Lian-Li Cube style micro-atx case - I didn't like it.
- 1000W Silverstone Strider 80+ Power Supply
I sold this system in a generic case with power supply (ran me 30$ for the bundle) to a friend's friend for $700 with only one 2TB drive and the 40GB SSD in May of 2011. I kept the HD6850 as well.
~2011 May

- 64GB Kingston SSD-NOW
- Fractal Design Define R3 (BEST CASE I HAVE EVER OWNED)
- 1000W Silverstone Strider 80+ Fully Modular PSU
- 2x Sapphire HD 6850
I sold off the 64GB SSD and both of the 6850's as well as the 1TB, then later the whole system to buy my 2001 Acura CL-S. I think I got like $800 from the system minus the parts I sold, with an 8400GS fanless video card. OH! I also kept the SSD's and one 2TB drive and 8GB of ram.
I went to an Intel Tech Conference and got the opportunity to buy more systems
So for ~ 140 bucks I got a mini itx system that I promptly sold for 400 and an Intel Core i5-2500k and Intel DZ68BC motherboard which is in my current system:

I'm running GTX 680 with i7-3820 @ 4.5 with more liquid coolant/fans than in my car, I won't get that 52C as Max. Run prime for 10 mins, give me that print out
PS My first pc build (uncle helped) was a 286 12Mhz monster and that was two decades ago. wow, I'm old.

Racer
Prime would probably peak at 70 in the same conditions. I've always found in-game vs P95/LinX to have a 15-25*C difference. I did damage the CPU doing 5GHz though... started giving BSOD Hardware Failure (code pointed to CPU) all over the place.
And with proper water, you can get a Core 2 Quad q6600 at 4.2GHz with about 26c idle and 48c after running for about 4 hours of LinX. This is with two triple and a double radiator with the best CPU waterblock money can buy and 16 120mm fans in push-pull config on a heavily modded Thermaltake Armour (we are talking cutting & welding )

Decided last night to put all my components into a case i was selling for a friend while I paint the interior of my HAF 922.
Looks SOOO much better with a black interior and some proper holes for wire tucks.
Case is a Corsair 400R. PSU is an ETASIS 750w that has extremely long SATA leads, so that's why there's a rats nest behind the drives.
Once the painting is done, Corsair case will be back up for sale for $70

Corsair in general makes superb cases for wire management.
Im' very tempted in obtaining the white and black 600T to make a storm trooper themed case. Very tempted. I'm eyeing one on CL right now in fact. I'll see if it's still there next weekend.
random sidenote i like how the ETASIS has no label on that one side..cleaner looking than having the Corsair badge of my TX750

Really depends on what you are looking to do. I haven't built a PC for myself in years. I usually only surf at home from a laptop, so back in the spring I picked myself up a new laptop so I wouldn't have to use my work LT anymore. I'm building a desktop because I want something a little more static to do other things on.

If you surf on your ipad around the house, sounds like you don't really need a laptop
Got my new PC all built last night, the SATA drive that I had set aside for the OS was bad
So I had to sacrifice my data drive out of my Home Theater PC to get it up and running. But it's running great now
