Cingular - need a phone with better reception
Cingular - need a phone with better reception
At the beginning of the year we re-upped with Cingular for another 2 years. We have the Motorola V180. We really didn't have a problem with dropped calls or busy signals before. But, lately, the signal strenths inside our house has really dropped, and has resulted in some dropped calls. Is it the V180 or is it Cingular's service? On our old Nokia 5100 the signal strength was 3 bars, with the V180 and Cingular's new digital system its usually 1 bar and, depending on where in the house you move, sometimes 2 and sometimes none.
Does anyone know which phone that Cingualr offers have the best reception? I think we need to upgrade.

I use to use a Moto v70, but I had bad-decent reception, I switched to a crappy $20 nokia and now I can talk in places I couldn't with the Moto.
I love Moto phones, but Nokia ownes them in reception.

i had tmobile with a crap phone for the past couple of years and i never had a problem with reception.
i switched to cingular last month and got their best phone (s710, so thats not the problem) and my service is SHIT. sometimes my phone doesnt even ring and its sitting in my room with full bars and sometimes i cant call out and it says 'calling' for a couple of minutes before giving me the 'were sorry please hang up and try again' crap. a lot of times i dont get voicemail or text notifications also.
a lot of my friends in california with cingular have similar problems
