Christmas comes early... 19" LCD

My wife is too good to me.

My CRT monitor was on its last legs... I mentioned that I'd LIKE an LCD monitor. So she ran out and bought me one from Best Buy. My Christmas gift early!

Construction is EXCELLENT. The only plastic is found on the back. The front is made of aluminum, the base is made of steel and there are rubber feet on the bottom of the foot to prevent the monitor from sliding.

The unit arrived with ZERO dead pixels accorinding to my :ghey: app I wrote to test for dead pixels on my LCDs. Color is excellent, very crisp. Response is decent, but I'm not a gamer, so I'll be able to get away with a 25ms time. VGA and DVI inputs!

$650 before $220 in rebates, so for $430, not bad for a very GOOD 19" LCD.

One BB was sold out of them, the other had 5 left. The unit can be ordered online as well. The rebate deal is good through tomorrow.

It's really nothing.

All it does it turn the screen red, then green (after a mouse click), then blue (mouse click), black (mc) then white (mc)....

It's really up to the user to locate dead pixels, but this allows you to find them pretty easy.

Go check this one out. If they have any left, you can keep a few bucks in your pocket.

Wait, was it your money?

My favorite thing in the world is when my dad opens Presents for Christmas.

His first statement is "lets see what I bought myself this year."

haha

BTW nice screen, I just ordered a 17" LCD from Ebay, I need one for a computer i'm building right now.

Everything is "joint", so... Yes and No.

Point is, I won't catch shit for having it now since she took the time and effort to buy it. It's complicated...

1280x1024 is the highest, which is perfect. 1600x1200 was nice a few years ago, but my eyes can't take that anymore. :P

I took that picture actually. From the Chicago Auto Show.

Dude, that's nice! Much more practical than my friend's 23" LCD which you have to move you head and eyes to view from edge to edge.
