All I know is that if the iTunes store were to close, you'll end up with a lot of pissed off customers since they won't be able to authorize their DRM-laden songs any more.

DRM FTL!!!

I don't think that'd ever happen. This reminds me of when RIM almost had to shutdown it's blackberry service cause of some lawsuit. It came very close but they worked it out.

Yahoo! Music shut down also, MSN music came close but has extended the shutdown until 2011.

I OWN zero DRMed music and never will.

Or if I have wifi...just order it off my iphone.
I haven't ordered one off of my itouch yet. It is sweet, you hear a song and bam you're listening to it.

Back in those days, I left the house to get laid or cop some dobbige. Don't have to do that now. Just need to walk upstairs for sex. Don't get high anymore.

I havent ordered off my phone either.

I actually dont really use itunes because of DRM and lower bit rates. Once in a blue moon I use it.

is there any kind of suit being brought against them for basically screwing over anyone that bought a song from them?

probably not. I bet there was some EULA that they agreed to before purchasing any music.
