Your thread for the NCAA 2004-2005 season.

I'll start it off.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/rankings

those are the pre season rankings... lot of pressure on USC this year being pre season ranked #1.

Waiting for august 10th or so to hear from the NCAA ruling on Mike Williams.

I don't like LSU to much... bunch of shit talkers lol that should get the going.

Let the games begin!

lol...

at least 8 of the pac 10 teams got votes in the poll... and notre dame got some votes too... so USC has a decently hard schedule to play where strength of schedule is concerned.. im not to sure about this new BCS computing thing... so the strength of schedule is factored out ... but it is already factored into the the 1/3rd of the ranking that the computers calculate?

However, they Doggies will be better than Carolina. In record and ability.

hey dude count up how many teams out of the ACC SEC and Big 10 got votes in the poll... yeah I know its only a poll... and it is preseason but at least some people don't think pac 10 is pansy.

dude wolverines took out your buckeyes... and USC stomped them soundly last year... don't know why it matters what conference we play in when obviously everyone besides LSU fans thought that USC was the #1 team last year.

whatever dude... why you got to break out the obsenities already... wait for the season to start that.

I don't know about that. West Virginia, the overwhelming favorite to win the conference, Boston College, the only other team to receive conference votes, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse are still around. I know Pitt had big losses, and I know Syracuse is kinda fake, but they're still gonna be tough games for UConn.

Go Huskies!!

VT? with no marcus vick? right...

Just a side note, the ACC has NEVER finished the season with two teams in the top 10.

on another side note, the SEC is very well represented in this preseason poll with 5 teams: LSU, UGA (GO DAWGS!), UF, UT, and Auburn (GO TIGERS!!!)...but then again, I don't have to remind anyone of Auburn's 2003 preseason hype and what the preseason polls can do to you...just ask the USC fans on the board...USC did Auburn like we were in a federal-pound-me-in-the-ass prison...

count the teams that got votes in the poll... not only top 25. should give you the sports peoples opinions on teams... which is not always right by the way but some merit.

A VT team without Vick is better than 90% of the Pac 10 schools..........................Miami and FSU will finish in the top 10 this year

I didn't feel like checking other years, but I KNEW Carolina and FSU were both top-10 teams in the mid-to-late-90s. If only Mack Brown had ever figured out how to win that big game.

all this highschool recruiting business gives me a headache... I bet it gives the players more of a headache.
