What is your greatest athletic accomplishment?
I was wondering if we have any people in this forum who are athletically inclined and if so, what was your greatest accomplishment as an athlete?

Playing intermural flag football against a couple of people on the football and track team and catching an interception then running it back all the way for a touchdown.
This was particularly impressive for me because I was playing with guys who should have easily been outrunning me, but I gave them the slip.

During my sophomore year of high school, i scored my one and only TD with a 65 yard return of an interception. I juked and jived at least 3 people on my way to paydirt and spiked the ball at the end. Also, i kicked for at least 5 homeruns during one kick-ball game during the 4th Grade

I have several:
Hitting a home run AND turning a double play myself in my very first little league game ever. I was playin 1B with a guy on, got a liner right to me and taged the guy out.
In football, in my sophmore year, our varcity team when to the CIF playoffs and I was asked to join them. I was so excited. I played on punt We won the first game, but lost the second. If we won it, our final game would have been at Qualcomm stadium (Jack Murphy back then).
I have others like was on 2 champion little league teams. But that wasnt really individual...
Good times...

I went canyoning in the Swiss Alps. What a rush! Better yet, back when I was careless and stupid...I went swimming with some friends at midnight in an alligator infested lake. I never swam so fast in my life!

It's not my greatest accomplishment yet but hopefully will be - I trained to run Chicago Marathon last year and was doing good until my ACL problems kicked in and doctor said I can't run. Gave it a break but after watching this year's event, I want to do it again. Have to start training for next year.

My greatest accomplishment happened on Sept. 18, 2004. I was down 11 cups to 2 in Beer Pong and my partner left me because he was puking all over the place. On my turn I raised my ping pong ball and announced that I was going to perform the greatest Beer Pong comeback of all time. One by one I knocked out their cups. 10-2, 9-2, 8-2... all the way down to a 1-1 tie. Both teams were struggling, but I was determined to finish off what I had started. On my turn I knocked out thier last cup. Their rebuttal hit the rim but was no good. It was over.
I have since retired, feeling that I have nothing left to accomplish in the sport. I do however continue to binge drink large amounts of beer and chat it up with the ladies. I may never stop playing that sport.
