UFC: Tim Silvia vs Rodrigo Minotauro Nogueira

And Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir. I will be watching this Saturday and attempt to carry over my buzz to the Super Bowl.

I say Lesnar. The guy is a monster. Old Mir probably FTW.

Silvia over Nog.....5 rounds of jab and run by Silvia....boring but a win.

Mir over Lesnar....Mir has been improving lately and Lesnar is too much of an unknown at advanced MMA. Anxious to see this match though!!

I think Brock will destroy Mir. Take him down with a double leg and just pound. I think too many people put credence on Brock's "fake" wrestling career when he was a dominant NCAA D1 wrestling champ at U of Minnesota. The guy's also been training the various "styles" (boxing, BJJ, etc.) over the past couple years. He's a pure athlete, an unapologetic douchebag (in a sport where arrogance is key), and seems to relish in hurting people.

It won't last 2 minutes.

lesner may be big but mir isn't exactly small @ 240 per sherdog. either way it should be a very interesting fight. nog's stand up is on par w/sylvia so he doesn't have to take it to the ground.

Still debating if I want to get the fight or not.

At least they aren't throwing a "nobody" in front of Lesnar. I'm pulling for Mir.

Yeah, Sylvia's stand-up is underrated. But, for some reason, he doesn't seem to be packing power behind those punches + they aren't pretty. I guess as long as it gets the job done that's all it matters. I hope Cro Cop faces Timmy soon. It might be an interesting match....

Sorry to break it to you but Cro cop is finished...

And if anybody is impressed by Nog's jaw, do a search for him vs Bon Sapp. I mean, he was literally thrown around, suplexed, slammed, pounded, and he still won. Talk about durable.

Silva has become a journey man, no longer a big contender anymore. That could ll change tho in MMA, which is what makes it exciting. Only thing left now is to see Couture vs Nog. Or Rampage Jackson vs Nog.

Yeah I have that Sapp vs Nog fight and it's out of hand.

I don't see Rampage fighting Nog due to the weight unless Nog drops down to LHW which I doubt he'll do.

As far as Couture with him and now Tito complaining about UFC pay, I don't see them coming back. Tito is signed to a fight in May but after than he's gone. He called Dana on Howard Stern the "white Don King".

don't be in denial, he basically got obliderated in his last two and only UFC fights by relative no-namers. And one of the guys who beat he badly, got his ass handed to him by couture. I have to give him credit for being one of the best in pride, but something is seriously wrong with him now and I don't know if he can make it back.

Crocop will be back... gotta believe. Just a few rough breaks that he's had before, I think he will eventually get a title shot, thats how confident I am he'll return to his once nearly unstoppable state.
