Top 10 Most Dangerous Sports

I just had this argument with one of my friends. I seems that everywhere on the net has a different top ten. I think should go in this order 1 being most dangerous 10 being least

1.Motorcycle racing
2.Car racing
3.Scubadiving
4.Base Jumping
5.Bullriding
6.Ski/Snowboarding
7.Mountain biking
8.Rugby
9.Hockey
10.Golf

I think golf has to be in the top ten just because of the number of people that die/ or get injured each year on the golf course.

I can vouch for Hockey and Mountain Biking.

I'd include some more extreme sports. Freestyle motocross, skateboarding, street bmx, etc.

Uh I'd have to disagree.

*In no particular order*

1. Gymnastics
2. Soccer
3. Rugby
4. Motorcycling
5. Rock Climbing
6. Cheerleading
7. Cave Diving
8. Luge
9. Hockey
10. Bullfighting

A few weeks ago I heard that in a study if US colleges, Cheer leading produced the most injuries. But its technically not classified as a sport.

Other risky sports: ice hockey, skydiving, scuba diving, cheerleading and gymnastics. Cheerleading and gymnastics? Absolutely, experts say. Cheerleading is actually the most injury-prone sport for women. Being tossed high into the air by teammates is risky business for the head and spine, and ankle injuries are common.

I don't think auto racing belongs on that list, at least in any sanctioned form.

This all depends if you're interpreting 'dangerous' to mean risk of injury or risk of death.

And in the same context of what Dougler mentioned about auto racing, I don't think luge is that terribly dangerous.
