Man! So, during the game, I was by the torch, trying to take some pics... needless to say, there were a LOT of people there doing the same... most were Canadians... Someone announced the score when it was 2-3 (when USA went up), here are the things that I overheard while I was among the Canadians:
"Oh Good LORD! I'd rather lose to any other country, BUT NOT to the Americans!!"
"...ya know, their players are Canadians anyway... eh'..."
"...it's because the Americans have money... I mean... the got Gretzky to go to LA, what does that tell ya, eh'? "

If Moog was there he would have told them to put down the bong.

trust me, I thought there'd be a riot tonight... and was all ready to take some pics! LOL... but it ain't over yet. If the Canadians don't get the gold, I kinda feel bad actually... it's their sport AND how often does the Winter Olympics come around to THEIR country??

Yep, he's so good, that if he's not on your team, you hate him, kobe or lebron is a good comparison

That's because he's a fucking pussy, he cries when skaters pass him and it's too much of a breeze.
#446
What funny is that the fans were upset that a penalty wasn't called.

Interesting. Interesting.
He's really that good. There are 3 reasons why there are so many Crosby haters:
(1) He's so good, everyone wants him on their team. When he's not on their team, they don't like him.
(2) When he first came to the NHL, he played like a little bitch. Even his biggest fans would admit it (see: si, Jone). Since he was coddled so much as a junior, he wasn't used to people hitting him hard, so he whined and cried to the refs whenever he got pushed around. When the refs wouldn't listen to him, he chose to start diving (e.g. faking a bad hit) to draw penalties. All that stuff happened in his first year and maybe a little of his second. Since then, he's matured and hasn't done much whining or any diving.
(3) He was super hyped when he came to the NHL, especially by Canadians who were looking for a new, Canadian face for the league. He was anointed by many the best player in the league before he even stepped on NHL ice. All of the hype wouldn't have been too far off the mark, if it wasn't for Alexander Ovechkin. With Ovechkin around, Crosby looks like he was over-hyped. And a lot of people don't like over-hyped players. Now there is a big debate over who is the better player player - Ovechkin or Crosby. They are completely different players, so it's a little hard to compare. Many think Ovechkin has better overall skill, is more explosive, is more physical, but can have an over-the-top demeanor that is too much for the NHL. Many think Crosby has a little less finesse, but has more grit, is a better leader, and plays the game the way it should be played.
If you want to see some real hatred, ask a Canadian what they think of Ovechkin.

But you're measured by Cups in this game. Until he gets 1 there will always be questions.

Anyone watching women's hockey? It looks like the US & Canada should have a good battle for the gold medal. Canada has put up 41 goals to 2 goals & US has put up 31 goals to 1.

Oh shit, the US Women Hockey just gave up their second goal of the tournament.

Speaking of ice dancing...I saw the highlights and is it just me, but does the female on the Silver-winning US pair have some major "horse-face"...?
She's one funny-looking woman...

It's a little odd, but I think it's worse because her hair is pulled back so much.
