I loved how Cowher used basically the same exact gadget play and the exact Big Ben QB roll out to the left TD play that he used to beat the Bengals.
How did Holmgren not see that coming a mile away?

that still isn't possesion.. you need to have 2 feet on the ground or the equivelent of an elbow or knee to count as possesion.. if he had both feet in then hit the pylon then it would have counted but he only had one foot in... the pylon didn't obstruct him from getting his 2nd foot in bounds he just didn't get it down and in

My point was is that the refs were trying to give it to Pittsburgh. I mean what if they didn't have a time out for a reply challenge. IT should have been ruled down to begin with.

a lot of the people complaining about the calls must be REALLY casual football fans who don't seem to know the finer details of the rules.
whatever was called in live action on the field (in this case, touchdown), gets the benefit of the doubt. no clear, conclusive evidence on the replay = call stands

you are not rule out of bounds until you hit the ground. If the ball went out at the 2 and somehow the guy extends the ball across the imaginary plane BEFORE he hits the ground, its a TD.
At the sideline, the "imaginary plane" stops at the pylon...which is why you always see people stretch out the ball over/inside the pylon. They can also hit the pylon with the ball.

that is not true... like i said earlier michael vick had the ball go across the goal line in the air to the left of the pylon (out of bounds) while he stretched his hand inside the pylon over the goal line. It was ruled no touchdown but they reviewed it and ruled it was a touchdown according to the rule.

Randle El rolled to the right, then threw a pass down field to (i think) Ward.

I think you are confusing the line of scrimmage...like when a QB throws the ball out of bounds, the line of scrimmage extends forever. So if he throws it 15 feet into the stands, as long as it is thrown past the LOS, it is not a penalty. Considering he is out of the pocket of course.

no. It was from Ben.. They rolled right with Randle El then passed it back across to Ben then to Cedric Wilson..
The closest repeat to that play was against Cleveland..

o ok he is wrong then. either the ball or any bodypart has to cross inside/over the pylon but the ball still has to cross the infinite goal line... i'm trying to find a picture of vick doing it.. there is supposed to be a great shot of it

Oh, and to make the Seahawks look even worst... Roethlisberger set a superbowl record too... He has the worst QB rating for a QB on the winning team in superbowl history (9/21 - 2 picks)
