According to Nashville Police and media - he was shot in the head.... they have identified the female, but are not releasing her name. They were in a condo that Steve rented downtown - the police will not say anything right now....

McNair's Escalade involved in DUI arrest this week
A car registered to Steve McNair and a 20-year-old woman was stopped two days ago on Broadway.
The driver and co-owner, Sahel Kazemi, was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test. The car was a 2007 black Cadillac Escalade.
Earlier today, a black Escalade was towed from the condominium complex on Second Avenue where McNair and a female who has not yet been identified by police were found dead this afternoon.
It is not clear whether this is the same vehicle involved in the DUI arrest.
Steve McNair is married to Mechelle McNair, who police have confirmed is not the victim.

yeah I think it is a murder suicide too.....sucks for his wife to find out that he was cheating on her with that girl and she wasnt even that good looking anyways..........autopsy reports should be out by Monday they said.

"guessing" he went over there to end it and she went crazy. The previous run in with the police with him in her car might have made him get cold feet about having his wife find out.

Well the last report I saw stated that he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including the shot to the head, and that she suffered only one gunshot to the head. Also a pistol was found along side her. If this report is true, I am definitely guessing that it was murder-suicide as well.

he was shot 4 times - twice in the chest and twice in the head. The girl was shot once in the head. They found the pistol under her body.
His death is homicide and they will not declare hers a suicide yet.
They have been dating for several months now. It appears to have happened early Sat morning.
They do not know who the gins belongs to or why yet....
