I bet that wasn't the Sea Lion's first time stealing bait from Mr. Nguyen......

Hyenas pull stunts like this all of the time to Lions in Africa that successfully catch prey. And every once in awhile you'll see a Hyena get broke in two by a lion who got fed up with the nonsense.

Don't get me wrong PETA bugs the shit out of me as well.

There is a big difference between processing chickens and running a Pit fighting ring.

He might not influence YOU paying your taxes but you can't honestly tell me that 1 kid is not influenced by Vick?

In my opinion I don't think these guys have to be saints but atleast keep it legal. I just can't get someone saying it is only because he is VIck. If I got caught in the airport with a water bottle with a secret compartment with weed residue I don't think I would of gotten out of it as easy as he did. I am pretty sure that if I ran an illegal pit fighting ring they would prosecuted me as well.

I believe if YOU ran an illegal pit fighting ring and it was your first offense that you would probably be fined and put on probation.

yea but if he was caught with some illegal drugs, i'm pretty sure he'd get a bigger penalty than any athlete would get..

Um probably not.. If it is a felony I doubt he would just get probation and a fine..

Just like if he killed someone for the first time, they wouldn't just give him a fine and a pat on the butt.

I know that there are many kids (and sadly grown men/women) that look up to this guy. That's the screwed up reality of the situation. I can only give an analysis of the situation from my perspective.

I don't think Vick got out of the water bottle incident easily. He ended up losing his endorment deal with Airtran shortly after the incident came to light. Second, what were they gonna charge him with? It was determined that it was not weed residue. Well thats what was reported but I personally feel that the authorities simply did not wanna go through with all of the hassle when the end result would only be a simple fine. And third, everybody quickly found out about it. At least you and I would have the priviledge of being able to keep the incident to ourselves since it would only be a misdemeanor. Speeding tickets are misdemeanors too last time I checked.

I just know that I never looked up to atheletes as role models. I remember as a kid going nuts whenever I watched Sugar Ray Leonard fight. I remember admiring Eric Dickerson everytime he got the ball. And I remember being bewildered by Lawrence Taylor every time he would make a great play. And when all of the stuff came out about LT personal activities, I still looked at him as a man. Nothing more.

Being in the spotlight will be Vick's conviction.

Valid point. But how much of his money and fame lead him to think: No one can touch Michael Vick. I can do what I want.

I don't have enough reps to move it at all - it was at three when I hit him up, and 3 afterwards.

Oh, and I'm thinking Vick should be allowed to fight the dogs he's trained - with nothing on but a collar, just like the dog.

edit: ...and I'd bet against the snarling, brainless, foaming-at-the-mouth beast...I think the dog could beat him easily.

Post Rawlings says bye-bye Vick...

From CNNSI...

ATLANTA (AP) -- Rawlings Sports Goods Company said Tuesday that it was ending its relationship with Michael Vick because of the federal dogfighting conspiracy allegations against the Atlanta Falcons quarterback.

"Rawlings recognizes that Mr. Vick has not been convicted of the charges stemming from his recent indictment," the St. Louis company said. "However, we have determined that ending our relationship with Mr. Vick at this time is necessary."

The action by Rawlings, which used Vick's image in point-of-sale promotions in stores, is the latest commercial setback for the NFL star. Last week, Nike suspended a lucrative contract with Vick and Reebok stopped sales of his No. 7 jersey. Upper Deck removed all Vick autographed memorabilia from its online store and said it was removing Vick trading cards from NFL sets to be released in October.

"Rawlings is disappointed about the charges brought against Mr. Vick for his alleged participation in a dogfighting operation," the company said in a statement. "Dogfighting is illegal and entirely unacceptable to Rawlings."

It probably took a good amount of money to fund all of this, so there should be bank records or credit card statements to show proof of his funding if he did fund it.

That is my big beef with this entire Vick case. His fame brings out the wackos and dogooders of the world that would not even gas up their cars to protest this lady above. Reverse Vick for this lady and you would not have even heard of the case.

Vicks guilt or innocence is irrelevant to me because if he did fund this dogfighting operation he is the dumbest person in the history of sports and deserves what he gets. Do i think he will be found guilty of the charges- NO. Because Americans have a hard time giving celebrity real hard time. We are just blinded by celebrity.

Mark my words the Falcolns will be just fine with Joey Harrington and we will make the playoffs.

Yeah I think Joey will have a good year. I didn't see much progress with Vick, but it is hard to go through 2 coaches and a couple off. coords.

I really think Vick will be found guilty if he actually is guilty. If all the stuff that is being said about him turns out to be true, then he is screwed.

I did not see much progress either with Vick and in all honesty I think this was his last year anyway. I think the jury is out on him being screwed and I feel he will be found not guilty. I could be wrong but if I am I owe you a steak at Ruth Chris.
