Unfortunately, because of other problems I don't have an empty roster space and I don't really want to drop anyone I have. So I'd have to throw Winston out for Dan Jones, Keenum, Bridgewater, Flacco, Manning, Taysom Hill or Fitzmagic. Honestly, I'd rather take my lumps with one of those two than swap Winston out for any of them. There is a small, small chance Winston turns this around as he becomes more acclimated to this new offense.

Did AB just wake one day after last season and just say, "I'm going to drive my career into the ground". I'm going to voluntarily sign with this team, then implode because I don't want to be there, sign with arguably the odd-on favorite to win the SB, and implode again after one game. WTF? Beyond stupid.

Don't let that ruin the narrative.
Doh - you got that one wrong.
Right in Kraft's back pocket, don't give 2 shits, etc. To have this much hate for the Patriots, you must have lost a nice chunk on your Steelers over the years.
(all in fun)
After reading a few pages, I wouldn't have singled him out as the salty one.
Agree on the last statement.

With regards to the Patriots and Brown, it's actually slightly more complex of a matter than everyone is making it out to be. Semi-lost in all of the celebration of Brown's career imploding is the fact that he never informed the Patriots initially that he was being sued by the former-gymnast -- reportedly because of some sort of agreement between parties for non-disclosure. Therefore, at the time that he was picked up by the Patriots, all they knew was that he was acting stupid about his helmet and calling the Raiders GM a cracker. And you could argue that he did those things purposefully as part of an elaborate scheme to use the Raiders as a pass-through to get from the Steelers to the Patriots when the Steelers were attempting to block that. But we'll never know that part, so it's all speculation.
Additionally, with regards to Brown and all of his criminal behavior, that's currently all allegations. In other words, it depends what side of the fence you lay on. In sports, often an allegation is treated as proven, thus "guilty unless proven innocent." Meaning, "we'll suspend you and then if it's false, we'll unsuspend you." That has happened in college football, too, for example, when some guys were accused of rape or something and then it turned out to be false but they had already lost their scholarships and were off the team. Whoops. The Patriots were apparently treating it as "we're going to wait until it's proven." Which, to me, is actually fine, except then they changed their mind, which makes them look like hypocrites from the start. Additionally, if you look at the allegations, there's this vague feeling that there's a mountain of complaints. There's actually only one, which is the original one by the former gymnast. Sports Illustrated had a lengthy article on Brown's troubles, but if you read the entire thing, at the end, nobody actually accused him of anything other than being a complete douchebag. Like he repeatedly rips off people and lies to them. One woman said he tried hitting on her by walking in on her naked while she was painting a mural for him, which is obviously wrong, but in the article she says she also just dealt with it because she was weirdly used to that happening to her from other guys and she even tried to continue to work for him by her own admission and she's also never filed any type of police complaint about it. So, in other words, we're just dealing with the gymnast. Now, that doesn't excuse Brown like "oh, everyone gets one rape!" But most of the ugly feelings about Brown stem from a) him screwing over multiple teams and fan bases and b) this false feeling that he has a string of sexual assaults and a pattern of raping women. Also, I believe I read that the gymnast only brought a criminal complaint after she was unable to get a $2 million settlement from him, which sounds a lot like extortion to me.
Now, on the other hand, the Patriots don't get a pass on this, as their fan base is trying to claim. After they found out about what was going on, they still retained him to play for his one game. That's actually fine with me because -- this may shock you -- but there are a lot of criminals and felons in the NFL on many teams. If we're going to pretend we care, then the NFL should adopt an XFL-style policy of not hiring anyone with a criminal background and let's see where that goes. It won't be pretty, but at least we'll all be putting our money where our mouths are with our claims that we want a clean league. Anyone up for that? But my issue with the Patriots is that they have created a false myth that there's a "Patriot way" and everyone is a good guy, a team player, and so on. That's all baloney. The Patriot way is to cheat and cheat some more and then, if you're caught, just lie repeatedly about it until everyone gets tired and leaves and then cheat some more.

Horrible turnovers, not like the Steelers forced any of them. They just capitalized, kinda

Nobody else saw the Packers defense being this good?
Dom Capers should have been fired with McCarthy, if not even earlier.
What is surprising is how bad Trubisky is. It went from Niners won that trade, to Chicago, now we both look like losers for that draft.

SF gets it done in the end.
And TB kicker... NFL hype machine will be on overdrive on Jones. Oh, and I lose Barkley for X weeks.
At least Evans finally caught some passes. Welcome to FFB Mike Evans.
And my Seahawks get owned by NO and Terry Bridgewater at home.

QBs are often a byproduct of the system and continuity. I would've hoped that Year 2 of Nagy's offense would've helped but so far, it's been for Mitch...I will see how he responds against what is supposedly a lousy defense with the DC First Nations.
#307
So, Mitch had a lousy game against what we now see is a strong Packers team with great D. Then, he went against Vangio who knew how to scheme against him and the Bears offense.
If we are playing the excuse game, he should have NONE against the Indigenous tomorrow.

Mitch has had some big question marks. I didn’t watch enough Bears football to make a confident judgment on him, but he has looked suspect at times.
The Niners offense made so many mistakes today that in the last two minutes or so, I thought they were gonna lose the game and that it would be well deserved.
Defense bailed them out though, I forgot what this feeling was like. Will going to work without my voice.

The Patriots offense has given up more points than their defense through the first three games.
Offense: 6points (pick 6 today)
Defense: 3points
Side note. Stidham throwing a pick 6 and forcing Bill to put Brady back in during garage time is annoying as shit

AB went on a little twitter rant this morning kinda confirming what we all knew around here. Kraft released him not Belichick. AB thanked Bill and Brady multiple time on twitter and instagram after the initial release but never Kraft. This was out of Belichicks hands which sucks because I think he could have easily handle the distraction and made it work on the field
Brown doesn't thank Kraft because he's the guy that's not paying him.
