IMO, Janikowski will be hanging up his jersey soon

I just realized dude is 40!
I knew him and Vinatieri were old, just never realized exactly how old they were.

Oh he's done for sure. Dude's old and fat and got injured by doing a routine play....Seahawks took a risk and it contributed to their playoff loss (they had to use that punter for the onside kick which was laughably bad)
Enjoy it while it lasts.

QB wins are a stat.
Like how Brady played his best game yet in a SB yet still lost. All on him

No differnt than a pitcher in baseball
#1048
Except pitcher wins are actually a stat. If a pitcher plays practically flawlessly, very good odds that he will win. QBs on the other hand... a "perfect rating" guarantees nothing.

To further Costco's comments, pitchers also have strikeouts, walks, and etc. as stats that are measured...QBs don't have that and do not have an indication of the protection, catches, and etc. made around him for his throws.
#1051
Yeah man. In addition to what you said, consider running game success, defensive matchups, field position (dependent on both defense and special teams), game planning, and play calling. A pitcher is much more in control of his team's destiny than a QB.
But yeah, QB wins are a stat...

As a note, I'm not really a baseball person and don't follow them.
deGrom finished 10-9 with a 1.70 ERA, and won a Cy Young? WTF? I guess even pitcher wins are a meaningless stat

To be fair, I looked it up and was surprised
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._passer_rating
Only 5 out of 72 QBs that ever had a perfect passer rating have lost. Very, very good odds. My point still stands though, with QB rating being an arbitrary (but still reasonably good) way to judge a QB's performance on paper. Too many other variables
One thing's for certain, Brady leads the league in making out with their son.

It's crazy how the Steelers will be moving on from 2 franchise-players...Although, in the case of the holdout, the money aspect I guess is understandable. AB is just being an idiot, which is unfortunate.

^ I think of all four match ups, Chargers/Pats may be the closest to a wildcard having the chance to upset. Whereas I think the Eagles, Cowboys and Colts lose this time, I think the Pats game will be closer to call.

The weather forecast changes every 30secs here, but rumors of a possible snow flurry on Sunday would make things interesting

Yeah - the thing about the Eagles and the Colts, they may rise up and surprise their opponents. They have that potential. I think the Cowboys will do what we've seen them do, and I don't think that beats the Saints at home. For the record, I think the Hawks would have had just as tough a time so I'm not just being bitter when I say that. KC and LAR have both shown they can be beat.

And for sure the Colts are not a team to be messed with. Us Chiefs fans are horribly traumatized by our playoff record and honestly even though we are favored many of us are damn scared this saturday.....the PTSD is strong.

My first Avatar....
I'm just surprised that more people are in on the Eagles able to beatout the saints. Their win over the Bears as truly flukey and honestly 90/100, bears would've won...they barely escaped with their life. But as we know Big D Nick can surprise you...

It seems interesting in that things are relatively quiet related to the upcoming Chargers / Pats game in New England. Continuing theme is how big a deal it supposedly is for the Chargers to have to fly across the country after the Baltimore game and then again to Foxborough.

I don't see how Philly's secondary can stop the Saints' passing attack at home. I'm not hating (even if I'm still sore about the blotched kick)...just seeing the stats.

In regards to Cheats this weekend...well, they do look vulnerable this year. But, then again, maybe they'll resort to Tonya Hardinging the opposition before the game?

Dang...was hoping the Broncos would not hire Fangio...but, he's the new HC for Denver. Good luck at Mile Hile, Vic.
Hopefully the replacement in Chicago will be just as good of a DC.

Big Dick Vic is gonna pound the AFC West with his big Chubb and um, Miller. Chargers and Saints SB would be cool with Rivers finally getting one, the other 1st round QBs in that draft class have won at least one already. If I were him and that happened I would retire and focus on popping out a few dozen more offspring.
Also WTT: one Robert Saleh for one Vic Fangio. I only have an in-n-out double double to offer, pls respond before it gets cold, John Elway

Well that's because for a while Payton had no idea what a defense was. Even when the Saints were terrible Brees was still doing his thing. The NFCS is also a strange division.. nobodys ever won it back to back until the Saints did it this season.
