Hi Whiskers
Hey look it's Eli Face.

Looks like the NFC East is back up for grabs based on the Giants and Cowboys play this weekend.
If the Eagles can get their injuries in check I think we have a chance to take this division this year, considering some analysts picked up dead last/second to last

It's amazing how the offense slides off a cliff when ODB is contained.
Thought Marshall was going to bring more to the table.
Heard this morning Giants fans are calling for Geno Smith.

You CAN place the blame on one person. The General Mgr for not getting O linemen that are needed. The O line has been a problem for many hrs. They jack up the defense one year, they jack up the wideouts, but never the support.

Yeah that o-line was/is awful. Some people say you need a strong pass rush to go deep into the playoffs. On the other side of the coin, you need good pass protection to counter that.

I've always felt you could build a wildly successful offense if you have the best O-lineman, decent (but not great) receivers, a respectably accurate QB, and most any RB.

Yup...Lookit Brady. He has enough time to knit a sweater by the time anyone is within a zip code of him.

Take that away and not sure how great he is.

Meanwhile, Bears QBs have been running for their lives since before the beginning of time.

The Bears o-line isn't that bad from what I've seen in the rankings. They appear to be top 12 from different ranking groups. Same with the Patriots.

Giants are bottom 10. But man the Lions pass rush is scary, bet Eli was seeing stars.

Also the Bengals appear to be ranked in the bottom 5 with the 49ers, explains the surprising offensive ineptitude. Not surprisingly, Seahawks consistently rank dead last.

+1. This is true. I think the Titans almost fit this mold. Top 5 offensive line, pretty good pass catchers and RBs and a better than average QB. They are on the rise.

As a Giants fan, Erek Flowers has to be re-positioned. He was pretty much beat every way possible in that Game against the Lions. They needed o-line help and didn't get it through the draft. Same story for the past 5 years.

I know most here on Azine don't care but TB12 is still setting and breaking NFL records.............

Tom Brady breaks Peyton Manning's record for player-of-week honors - New England Patriots Blog- ESPN

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week, marking the 28th time he's earned a player-of-the-week honor from the NFL. That breaks a tie with Peyton Manning for the most in league history.

Brady finished 30-of-39 for 447 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 36-20 road victory over the New Orleans Saints. The 447 yards marked the third-highest total in his 18-year career. It was also his NFL record 52nd game in which he threw three or more touchdowns with no interceptions.

I'm originally from SoCal, I'm always pulling for California teams... tonight, I will still root for the 49ers, but that said... I'm betting it'll have the lowest ratings Thursday Night Football ever

If Brady doesn't retire the Patriots are gonna move on from him For GMs, it's usually best to get rid of a player one season too early rather than keep him one season too many.

Their offseason and draft deviated from their norm, I think they're trying to load up because they know time is running out. I think they have a good idea of what they have in Jimmy G, but once his rookie contract is up they could be stuck in an awkward place.

I would be impressed to see Brady play to 42 though!

I don't know - he's age-defying at the moment. List the three QB's you'd want on your team right now and Brady is on that list 99 out of 100. But I do think it's likely it will be this season or one more, but no farther. I'm hoping that he just plays, and surprises everyone with an "I'm done" at the end of the season rather than have to suffer through an entire season of his farewell tour. Not that Brady would make it awful - the media coverage would be insufferable. Part of me thinks they need one more off-season to line up his successor.

^^^ I agree that there will be no farewell tours. I see him playing 2-3 more years barring any injuries. I'm sure he has Kraft and Belichick in sync with his plans and lets not forget that the Pats released Jacoby Brissette this year to rival Colts.

Tickets for that game dropped to like under 20.

What everyone thought was going to be a snoozefest ended up pretty exciting. The offensive PI phantom call was what made me lose my voice, but what really hurt the Niners was that missed extra point

SF made a good game of it though. Two good showings in a row. Sucks to lose two close games but it's more encouraging than blow outs.

Yup! The crappy part about close games is they're probably bad for your health, and traffic sucks leaving them. But I would rather lose close games than suffer blowouts.

SF defense was staggeringly bad last year, made me not want to watch or go to games as I knew it was hopeless
