What a crock of shit that they can tackle a receiver, the ball gets deflected and intercepted, and the play gets reviewed only to stand as called. The Chargers should have been down 31-7 if the NFL had any referees interested in making the right call instead of letting them play on.

As much as I hatte to say it, I think Belichick could make Kaep work. He needs support and protection, and Bill's cold shoulder is something to be reckoned with.
Thats my point. Belichick could handle the media but why would he for a 3rd string QB? They are now scary thin at WR and LB, they arent wasting a spot on Kaep.

Honestly I just went through all 32 teams and I couldnt find one he'd start for. Jacksonville was the only place where he'd compete for a job but we all know how Tom Coughlin feels about Kaep. Teams like Clev/LAR/Hou/Chi are deeply invested in 1st or 2nd year QBs and the jets are tanking so it doesnt work there either

Agree. I'd go farther and say if we take the distraction completely off the table - he's just not talented enough. The SF starting job was his to lose and he lost it. The backup job was his to lose and he lost that too. Just because he had one good season doesn't make him anything special. So did Tebow. I don't think he has the breath and depth of skill to even be a backup. You can handle mediocrity in your backup QB so long as they are consistent and can manage an offense without making huge mistakes. Kaep is as inconsistent as they get. You'd be better off with a rookie 10th rounder. Much like Tebow - he's a risk someone took that looked promising for a moment but turned out to be just that - a moment.

Vikings looked great on both sides of the ball. Very happy with their performance in the opener.

^ Yest they did. If the o-line is really that good, Cook and Bradford are going to look like heros this year.

I stopped watching the Chargers/Broncos game at 3Q, looks like the Chargers choked again... Different city, same ol' team

Most people turned the game off at the 3Q.... I just happened to have it on still when putting the kids to sleep.

I don't feel that being an athlete or a celebrity excludes you from having a say in politics. That's not too say I agree with Colin.

It is nice that Trump donated a million for hurricane relief, but Kaepernick did the same thing for charities. And that was with his job in jeopardy, while making exponentially less.

Regarding all the reasons why Colin still doesn't have a job, it isn't just one thing. It's all of the above. Lack of growth as a passer, injuries, salary speculation, negative press attention, etc.

JJ Watt's tackle to end the game last night was a good one. Goldberg would be proud of that spear!

The 49ers defense is showing up but Seattle has possibly an even worse o-line than SF does. Hopeful for when Foster comes back. Hyde reminded me of when Gore used to have big games against the Seahawks

Seattle ran 30 more offensive plays than SF, explains why the defense was gassed out

The Cowboys Brady had more rushing yards than Elliott!

Packers looked like a highschool team out there. That was a sad performance, but it seems injuries are beating us again. Rookie tackles couldn't keep the pressure off Rodgers. 2 costly mistakes gave the game away... There is always next week!

Speaking of injuries, the Pats now only have two healthy WRs (Cooks, Dorsett) and Gronk hurt his groin . Week 3 will be interesting

I don't get it - each season since we lost the SB it's been, "we need to address the O-line". And each year it just seems to get worse.

I caught Tony Dungy's comment during a recap - someone asked him, "What does Seattle need to do about it's o-line?" Dungy: "Get better players". Kinda made me and

NFL?s motion to stay Ezekiel Elliott injunction denied ? ProFootballTalk

The NFL filed a motion to stay the preliminary injunction of Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott‘s six-game suspension with United States District Court Judge Amos L. Mazzant last week and Mazzant issued his ruling on Monday.

Mazzant denied the NFL’s motion, which means that the injunction remains in place and that Elliott is free to play barring an order reinstating the suspension from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. The NFL has filed such a motion, something Mazzant noted in the decision handed down on Monday.

“In its Emergency Motion in front of the Court, the NFL is complaining that the Court essentially issued a premature order by failing to wait for the arbitrator to issue his ruling and therefore, lacked subject matter jurisdiction,” Judge Mazzant wrote. “Oddly, the NFL is now seeking expedited relief from the Fifth Circuit without first waiting for the Court to rule on the identical issue. The irony is not lost on the Court.”

Mazzant’s ruling also takes issue with the NFL’s argument that Elliott would not suffer irreparable harm if the suspension went into effect because he would recover any lost money if later court rulings found the suspension should be permanently enjoined. Mazzant writes that “it is well-recognized that Elliott will suffer injury if he has to serve an improper suspension while awaiting the resolution of the petition to vacate” and that the league has not shown any harm that will be done to it if the suspension is on hold while the legal process plays out.

Don't worry, I just found out that the Niners currently have the 9th best defense in both yards and scoring.

Last year? Ranked dead last in both. The front 7 is arguably the team's greatest strength right now.

Coaching and scheme make a huge difference. We didn't even have one of our best players on defense all game, and another one for half the game.

Time for you guys to get rid of Cable.
