I hate the Cowboys but I admit this catch was very impressive

Also hate the Raiders, but Lynch has always been one of my favorite players, even back in his Buffalo days. Good to see him on the field again
He just bout that action boss

I will agree some of the penalties against the hawks were pretty weak. Both teams had stellar run defense, but the better team won that day! Both have a lot to improve on. Then again its only week one, most players finally had a full game to play. Hell Rodgers got out run by a D-lineman that was about 100 lbs heavier than him!
GO PACK GO!

It was entertaining, I won't lie. I actually was very surprised how close it was but, again, it's not about woulda, shoulda, coulda...esp. given how many years of this -ness.
White getting injured again was just the icing on the cake for me though. Wow.

Good win for GB. When you get beat, sometimes you just gotta say you got beat.

I really like Ryan Pace. I think he'll get to hire the coach he wants next year.
Honestly, when you look at just how bad the Bears were after the Trestman debacle, Pace looks like a genius with what he has done so far.

Whatever, I'm just generally grouchy about watching the Bears the last couple of seasons. Let's see what condition they are in after Week 6.

None of us really know what went on in all the war rooms. Supposedly people were wanting to trade with the Niners or others, teams who were in need of a QB. It could have been posturing. Then again most teams wouldn't outright admit who they want to draft in the heat of the moment.
Baalke was a genius at trading to get more picks. On the other hand, most of them were busts or aren't in the league anymore, let alone with the team.

And I'll say this: I've generally stayed quiet in regards to the Kaepernick cold-shoulder treatment from NFL teams but IMO, it's a collusion. He's a QB with pro experience and has had some decent numbers. There is no f*cking way that there is not an NFL roster that cannot use him as even a clipboard holder as a backup.
All that apparent rhetoric that he's just not good? Pfft...BS. And probably smoke coming from Alt-Right types.

I agree he is good enough to be a backup.... But for me if I'm a GM there is no way in hell I draw that media shit storm to my team for a backup QB
And let's also remember this isn't Madden. He has to learn the playbook/signals/language and all that shit. Not fair to the guy who has been there since day one

Michael Bennett has been sitting for a while - even as popular as he is in this city, most folks don't like it (although the Vegas cops did a lot to prove his point....but that aside). He's one of the top players at his position, extremely popular with the fans in one of the more liberal markets in the country and his protest STILL gets a fairly cold reception.

He's a dumbass that can't read a playbook, raw talent. But if it wasn't for Harbaugh seriously teaching him their playback. He'd never have gone as far as he did. He had a contract and walked away from it. And if RG3 isn't holding a clipboard, no way the dumbass should be. Collusion, no. Teams not wanting a drama queen on their team, yes. When it's suppose to be about team, not an attention whore who praises Communist leaders.

Kaep wasn't terribly likable before he started sitting. And his method of protest would be wildly unwelcome in many markets. But more or less agree with Joneill44 - there has to be some reward/benefit on the other side of the ledger to offset the distraction and ill will he causes. He's 100% distraction, no benefit. Why invite that?

With the right coach and leadership group, I would wager that Kaep would do just fine on the team -- protest or no protest.

Sadly the big difference is, those guys are starting and making an impact on the field, so they put up with the media. Teams arent doing it for a guy to hold a clipboard.

I often thought of the day that the Bennett brothers could be NFL stars. I roomed in the same private dorm as both of them my freshman year. I've played two separate pick-up basketball games with Martellus, and luckily with him on my team both times.
That's all I got. In before cool story bro.

Let's regroup at week 12 and see who would have been better off with Kaepernick (if he isn't already playing). There may be 30 people better at NFL QB than him, but I won't give you more than that.
As much as I hatte to say it, I think Belichick could make Kaep work. He needs support and protection, and Bill's cold shoulder is something to be reckoned with.
Again, I'm not defending his merits per se. But, we've seen our fair share distractions who, let's be objective, are just as "talented" make a roster. Sure, he's protesting and being possibly a distraction...but, you're telling me a wife-beater or similar criminal player is not with the repeated questions from the press and negativity brought to the team?
With the right coach and leadership group, I would wager that Kaep would do just fine on the team -- protest or no protest.
