He's in the freaking NFL - he has a dozen ways of getting attention. You can't characterize this like refusing to stand was his only option. He chose this over many other viable options. It was the easiest and least imaginative option IMO.

Also, don't confuse objecting to his method of protest with objecting to his cause. What he's trying to draw attention to IS important. The way he went about it caused more distraction that help for his cause. And if he doesn't translate all this into something productive and tangible, I can't imagine a bigger fart in the wind than this.
None of those 7 things would have made the kind of impact though

Always heard good things about JJ. A girl worked for me that dated JJ she said she loved him, yea I like money also.

Anyways Favorite JJ Watt quote.

"Lions don`t concern themselves with the opinions of sheep" it was said after a tiff with his quarterback.

I know quite a few Aziners hate TB12 and are not fans of Belichik or the Patriots but you have to hand it to them. 3-0 with two rookie QBs, no Gronkowski (he was very limited last night) and other injuries. Sure the players on the field have to execute, but I have all the respect for Belichick and his staff. They are always competitive regardless of the available personnel or who the opposing team is.

But you have to remember the only challenging game should have been the Cardinals. The other 2 (Dolphins, Texans) are both mediocre teams... Doesn't surprise me they are 3-0 though, they always seem to win with whoever they play. Must be cheating though!

You guys need a new GM desperately. And possibly a new owner.

But at least your owner doesn't make empty promises to youth soccer players.

Brady has to be somewhere going, "For shits sake the job is harder than it looks! Really it is! 3-0 is hard! Gisele tell them that my job is difficult!"

Latest local reports are saying a strained ligament in his thumb.

Definitely still have Edelman, but some are saying Jimmy Garoppolo could be back..............

Lots of time before having to report injuries and play next game.

LOL! Oh, you mean the guy making $18M per year? Crazy to think Siemian is making 1/36th that amount in 2016!

EDIT - not sure exactly how much Os is making this year, just doing $72M/4 (so don't shoot me!).

1Louder, I too LOVED the statement but since it isn't hot and sexy, media didn't care. Especially that hot and sexy story Trump was "debating".

I need to quit fantasy football. Started the wrong QB to lose this week. Started wrong TE last week to lose. I'm so fired.

Yeah I think anything going on in that game got drowned out by the debates. But I think it was a very classy move, especially given it was the 10th anniversary of Katrina and there is a lot of local civic pride in play.

I managed my first FFB win in spite of myself. I have Rodgers and Ryan on my rosters. Of course Ryan is the #1 QB through the first two games while I'm starting Rodgers (who has been mediocre at best). The game I make the switch and start Ryan, Rodgers goes off and Atlanta decides they like rushing TDs more than passing. . Managed a win only because my opponent had Tevin Coleman on the bench.

Need fantasy advice.

Someone wants to trade me his T. Coleman for my D. Williams (he has Bell). Should I? If Bell is injured then D. Will is a top 3 back. Yes Coleman did very well last game but I don't know if they will split work loads ROS.

My other backs are Gurley, CJA, S. Ware so I don't see starting either over Gurley or CJA unless they are on bye or injured.

Can you offer Ware? I think Charles is coming back soon right? Both Charles and Bell probably need handcuffs the most behind AP. I think DWill might steal some Bell carries. Coleman is nice but ATL running game isn't all that for the whole year esp behind Freeman.

I see S. Ware playing a similar role to Coleman once Charles comes back. So those two are similar. If you don't need another type of back like that, hang onto Williams for the top 5 upside in case Bell goes down.

The way I would look at it if it were me: Coleman is a serviceable fill in on any given week because he's playing and will get consistent touches (or consistent potential touches). And the Falcons have established a pattern of success by emphasizing a balanced running/passing attack. So if you want a productive spot-fill in, he's at least producing something on any given week. Williams on only serviceable if Bell is hurt, so he's not ready on any given week and won't give you that option.

So I'd come back to your overall objective. If you are looking for a "I need a fill in this week, right now" answer I say pull the trigger. If you can get by other ways, and want to hold out for a potential top 3 back then hold on to Williams.

The problem is Williams is only of value to the Bell owner so long as Bell is healthy. Trade stock is limited to what you can extort from that owner. Maybe up the ante? Maybe ask for Coleman and someone else? He's the one that needs the handcuff...

Neither one of you is starting Coleman so put it this way, if Bell gets hurts would YOU rather have him playing DWill or Coleman every week

It seems like Freeman and coleman is almost a 50/50 on snaps, but last game both of them broke out. But yardage wise Freeman seems to still be the workhorse for the Falcons, while Freeman was the goal line back. I would say stay with coleman for 2 weeks then reevaluate the trade again
