Yeah, from the scouting report on White, it's not horrid that Chicago got him. But, with Alshon, Royal, and Bennett around, I'm not exactly sure if the Bears need help at WR.
I guess taking the best player available isn't a terrible idea. We'll see what Chicago does in the next rounds.

NFL Investigation: YUP, PATS ARE CHEATS
Good. Now do what they did to the Saints and ban Belicheat for a season!
And Brady too!
Tom Brady likely knew of 'Deflategate' acts, report says - CNN.com
Too bad they can't strip the Pats of the Superbowl.
And Brady too!
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was probably "at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities" of a locker room attendant and an equipment assistant in the controversy known as "Deflategate," according to an NFL-commissioned report released Wednesday.
The report found that "it is more probable than not" that the locker room attendant and equipment assistant "participated in a deliberate effort to release air from Patriots game balls after the balls were examined by the referee" in violation of NFL rules at January's AFC title game, which the Patriots won.
"Based on the evidence, it also is our view that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady ... was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities ... involving the release of air from Patriots game balls," wrote Ted Wells, the attorney who led the investigation.
The report said there was no evidence that any other Patriots player or staffer was involved, adding specifically that investigators do not believe coach Bill Belichik, any other coach or the team's ownership took part in or knew of any wrongdoing.
The Patriots beat the Colts 45-7 in the January 18 AFC title game and went on to win the Super Bowl. Controversy swirled after the Colts raised concerns that the footballs used solely by the Patriots' offense in the first half were underinflated.
New England went on to win the Super Bowl.
The assumption underlying the controversy is that intentionally deflating the footballs below NFL standards would be cheating to favor the quarterback. A ball with lower inflation is said by some to be easier to grip and may give the passer a competitive advantage.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft was defiant in response to Wednesday's report, saying he was disappointed in the findings and still believed the team did nothing to violate NFL rules.
Kraft criticized what he called "inferences from circumstantial evidence," adding that "the time, effort and resources expended to reach this conclusion are incomprehensible to me."
"To say we are disappointed in its findings, which do not include any incontrovertible or hard evidence of deliberate deflation of footballs at the AFC Championship Game, would be a gross understatement," Kraft said.
Brady denied any knowledge of tampering with footballs during his interview with investigators, according to the report. He answered questions voluntarily, but declined to make available communications, including texts and emails, the report said.
Brady made the same denial to reporters on January 22, days after the game.
"I didn't alter the ball in any way. I have no knowledge of wrongdoing," Brady said.

Writers, making up a draft they have no control over.
But to stay with that logic, everybody knew 1 and 2 picks were going to be QB's and Raiders were taking a WR. Redskins were not going to take a D lineman for their 3-4 defense. Which they had already signed two in FA.
So that left him him to Jets at Five....

I'm absolutely not advocating for cheating and the results of the investigation are disappointing. However with that being said -
I know there is no changing your mind, but keep in mind the Pats scored more points (28) in the second half after the balls had been replaced than they did in the first half (17) with the "deflated balls." Final score was 45-7, I'm not sure the deflated balls made a difference either way.

How do you write a 243 page report about ball pressure and NOT conclude anything? Brady is a crap weasel. A lying, cheating, soft ball fondling crap weasel.
And I like how the report sort-of calls him out:
Crap weasel.
And I like how the report sort-of calls him out:
But after interviews with those two, investigators "do not believe that they would personally and unilaterally engage in such conduct in the absence of Brady's awareness and consent."

Anyone who thought that these equipment guys acted on their own without direction is foolish. These guys were instructed to do what they did, and it's pretty obvious, whether the league wants to admit it or not

The truth is obvious, but no one will be able to prove it. Wondering how the NFL will handle it.

Agreed. We're going to exist in this state where on one hand no one will be able to provide hard evidence that Brady directed them to deflate the balls. On the other hand, it's impossible that an equipment manager would do this on his own without the quarterbacks consent, and equally impossible that an experienced quarterback would not detect a 1+ psi difference in the ball.
The truth is obvious, but no one will be able to prove it. Wondering how the NFL will handle it.

@ People who think this had anything to do with the outcome of games. Yumchah and his witch hunts. I wish he put this much effort into using his brain when talking about NHL goalies.
Brady looked pretty good in the SB with properly inflated balls.

This is what matters about this story.
Tom Brady intentionally broke a rule that is clearly in place to not allow a QB an unfair advantage.
Tom Brady, when confronted, lied about breaking the rules.
It's not important if the rule seems silly. It's not OK just because it didn't change the outcome.
He cheated, then he lied about it. That matters.

Nobody is saying it had an impact on the game. Not here, not in the media. In fact, the data clearly shows it didn't.

Ultimately, I'll be pretty happy so long as the League hands down a suspension or fine, because well, it means they acknowledge that Mr. Golden Boi here is a cheat. There goes his "fine" legacy.

What's also lost on this is the little minions who are paid peanuts here that ENABLED this cheating? They are screwed. Doubt they'll ever work in the NFL again.

Lets just try and keep some consistency and look at the bigger picture. He's not alone.
And because the outcome of the game was not affected, a fine is more than enough IMO.

If Jay Cutler did this, I would gladly be first in line to see him tarred and feathered and driven out of the League and into the CFL to play for the Argos.

And since when have I shown loyalty to Cutler? He sucks. Talented but idiotic in the pocket...just like Jeff George.
If you wanna insult the Bears, just point to their record okay?
