Any NFL teams need a backup QB? Jared Lorenzen still playing QB at 320 pounds :what: |
I remember seeing that guy play in preseason a few years back  he's even HUGER than before. I swear he was around 270-280 when he was in the NFL.
Out of curiosity, I googled for "Jared Lorenzen nickname" and found... 1. "QBese" 2. "Hefty Lefty" 3. "The Pillsbury Throwboy" 4. "The Abominable Throwman" 5. "J.Load" 6. "Round Mound of Touchdown" 7. "Lord Of The Ring-Dings" 8. "Battleship Lorenzen" 9. "He Ate Me" |
He went to a high school near mine when I was in middle school. He was an athletic 250-275 then. His favorite target was a 280-300 pound tight end that was really fast for his size and they would throw hail marys all day...every game looked like Tecmo Bowl. I think they won state twice. |
 i don't remember the guy but the names are hilarious.

The Wells' investigation for J. Martin should be ending soon. The texts came out the other day and it sounds like he was cool with Richie Incognito. The findings seem to point to no wrongdoing and that Martin quit on the team for poor performance and wanted to get out in a legal, profitable way. Sayonara bitch :bye:
Plus under the radar because of the Super Bowl and Richard Sherman, the Fins finally got their GM after being rejected by a few others for offers, interviews, and consideration. Nobody liked our structure that the GM couldn't pick the coach. Well WTF would be the point of being GM. Who's going to pick the coach? The old wackjob owner who knows shit about football except real estate. And outgoing scrub Jeff Ireland was implicated by Incognito in his text that former starting left tackle, Jake Long, was not happy with Ireland. Ireland by the way failed to disclose to the Browns about the mental breakdown of Davone Bess before trading him there. Major :nono: in the NFL. |
^ Ireland reminds me of Jim Bowden (who I still hate with a burning passion). Won't hesitate to fuck anybody over if it's a good thing for him. Is he done with the organization or are they sticking him at some other job?
As for Incognito and Martin, weren't there voicemails released where Incognito was saying a bunch of crazy stuff? I quit following it early because of how ridiculously it was being covered and blown out of proportion. |
Ireland left as a "mutual agreement".
Well apparently Martin did the same. And even at the end of that v/m by Richie, he talks normal which indicates it was a prank. |
Thanks for starting the thread, LeHeat-breath.
Here's hoping Chicago does something to address that putrid D. :bored: |

Fred Davis busted for drugs again, :goodbye: to your NFL career!

Peter King saying it never happened but doesn't sound like the Browns are denying it. Crazy. I'd think the Niners are insane for even considering it but I wonder how high the picks were....
|
Peter King knows as much about football as I do about hockey.

Really? Thought he was basically one of the most well respected NFL journalists?
Except perhaps the Patriots. I think he lives in one of the drawers in Kraft's office desk so he can service him at every opportunity. |

I just can't see how that trade would even be considered.
Why would the Browns give up draft picks they desperately need? Why would Harbaugh want to leave SF? Especially to a team like the Browns, that would also be without those draft picks? Why would SF not want Harbaugh, besides the fact that he's a douche? Makes no sense. Wouldn't it be great if the Browns ceased to exist and the NFL replaced them with an L.A. team so nobody will have to move there :wish: |

Contract extension talks broke down between Harbaugh and the front office and there's rumors swirling now that he'll leave the team after this year. Ultimately, I wouldn't want Harbaugh, I can't stand his personality, but the rumor makes sense, even if it never seriously went anywhere. Oh, and to your last point, way to sound like an uninformed douche. Sure, they'll get rid of the team with one of the largest, and most loyal fanbases in the league and give them to a city that doesn't care in general about the sports teams they already have. |
I'm typing this blind, because I just saw the new Bucs unis.
|
Digital clock numbers :yuck:

WTF! That shit is horrible!
It was already hard to watch them play Now they're trying to make you sick as well Attachment 107638 Instead of throw-back uniforms, the Bucs will be wearing throw-up uniforms. |

And they have huge question marks regarding their roster.... |
The Bucs unis are TERRIBLE! :pofl:
|
If the numbers were a different style the uniforms wouldn't be all that bad. The fact it reminds me of a digital clock from 1975 is the problem.
Of course this coming from a guy whose team wore a lot of neon-green couple seasons ago, so I don't thrown too many stones from that glass house. |
Nike sucks at uniform design. Always have.
|
I like the Nike Seahawks unis :hide:
I don't watch NCAA but the Oregon uniforms usually look really cool. |
