look, im not saying shaq is crap, because obviously he is still a very good player, but still, he is not as good as he used to be, and never will be, and he is on a slope down from now on.
and yes, obviously you want dunks and layups, but because these are the shots he gets, you can not say "oh wow, shaq shoots an amazing 60%!" if you want to make the argument that he is a great post player that easily gets position down on the block, by all means, go ahead, because he does.
kobe is a monster driving to the hoop. shot 7/17 from the field which is nothing impressive. question im not 100% sure on...when a player gets fouled in the act of shooting, does the shot count toward field goal %? logically it shouldnt, but what if it goes in? whats the rule?

Shaq is lazy...period. Could he have been as great as Wilt? Is he gonna be now?
Is he still a force? Can he dominate on any given night? Can he do it for an entire playoff run? probably not
Oh yeah, is he a great post player? Can he dunk like crazy and get great position?
Posting and dunking are 2 different things....

they would be vulnerable to the pick and roll, and their defense as a whole would suffer. obviously, their offense isn't lacking this year, so they don't need a post presence like shaq. at this stage, and also with the piston's team dynamics, no way i would take shaq over wallace.

Thats what a lot of the sports guys were saying....they are amazed at how healthy the Pistons are.....thats the reason why they are on such a streak....they would still win the East but would have a little more contention(maybe) for the best overall record if they werent so healthy....props to Detroit...

I like Dallas their a good team but if I can compare them to another sports team they are like the Indianapolis Colts always good during the season but can never win the BIG games.
Maybe this year will be different but I don't know cause anytime you let one player score 62 points in 3 quarters it ain't looking good. Their overall record is good but will see what happens when the playoffs role around.

well aside from the occassional letup, haven't they been playing somewhat better defense than the last few years? they look better than past years, but who knows if they can make anything out of it. they are definatley a sleeper pick with everyone focused on the pistons, then maybe spurs.

For you Steeler fans!!
In a school just outside of Pittsburgh, a first-grade
teacher explained to her class that she is a Steeler's
fan. She asked her students to raise their hands if
they were Steeler's fans too. Not really knowing what
a Steeler's fan was, but wanting to be liked by their
teacher, their hands all went up into the air.
However, there was one exception. A little boy named
Timmy had not gone along with the crowd. The teacher
asked him why he had decided to be different.
"Because I am not a Steeler's fan" says Timmy. The
teacher then asked, "What are you?" Timmy said "I'm a
Seahawk's fan."
The teacher, a little perturbed now, her face slightly
red, asked Timmy why he was a Seahawk's fan.
"Well, my mom and dad are Seahawk's fans so I'm a
Seahawk's fan too."
The teacher was now angry. "That's no reason" she says
loudly. "What if your mom was a moron and your dad was
an idiot?"
Timmy smiled and said, "Then I'd be a Steeler's fan."

Report: Raptors dump Rose's salary

Toronto Raptors' interim general manager Wayne Embry made a major move today, sending Jalen Rose and a first round pick to the New York Knicks in exchange for power forward Antonio Davis.
The move is a salary dump for Toronto, which no longer has to worry about paying Rose the $16.9 million salary he is guaranteed next season. Davis is making $13.9 million this year, but his contract expires at the end of the season, which helps the Raptors clear a lot of cap room.
The Knicks on the other hand, are slated to pay over $56 million next season to players who are playing less than 20 minutes per game this year or, in the case of Allan Houston, Jerome Williams and Shandon Anderson, not at all.
It might be no coincidence that the Raptors pulled the trigger one day after star Chris Bosh pleaded for the re-signing of potential free agent Mike James, who has played very well for Toronto this season.
Related Info
The Raptors got 33 points and 13 rebounds from Bosh in Wednesday's 117-112 victory over Washington, their second in a row and 10th in 18 games after an awful start to the season.
James added 29 points and made 5-of-7 3-pointers for Toronto, which is 2-0 on its five-game homestand.
The Raptors have won four of the last five meetings with the Knicks after a 2-10 stretch in the series.
While much of the season has been a dismal one for the Knicks, they provided their fans a reason for optimism with six straight wins to start 2006. However, a 129-103 loss here January 15 ended the run and kicked off an embarrassing slide.
Including that setback, New York has lost nine of 10 games to fall behind Toronto and into last place in the Atlantic Division. Five of the losses have come by double digits and the club may have bottomed out with Tuesday's 130-97 loss at home to the Los Angeles Lakers.
While the Knicks got Davis back from his five-game suspension, they lost coach Larry Brown to an ejection and lost their fans at some point during Lakers star Kobe Bryant's 40-point performance.
The crowd at Madison Square Garden rained chants of "M-V-P" on Bryant, who made three more free throws (23) than the hosts. New York was paced by Qyntel Woods' 15 points and nine rebounds.

i would like to see heat beat pistons, because miami is clearly not performing close to their potential... all this talk about "is shaq slipping" i think is not that important. i think wade has been holding the team together more than shaq has been... but thats just my opinion
im still hoping that the nets can win the eastern conference

half joking. hes a great player, one of my favorite players to watch play (hes got style to his game) but he wouldnt be a contender for mvp, esp with jefferson and kidd on the team.
