Wow.

I mean....with how horrible Florida has it.....is it still good idea to go ahead with this modified NBA season?

You're gonna have people being quarantined for being tested positive regularly and will be out of the team play for 2 weeks at a time....

They're going to bring in women. It's inevitable. When the season starts, they better clamp down security if they want to win.

While it was not the same, but at least i got to watch some new footage instead of all the "What happened today a year ago"

By the way, does this mean there is no more home court advantage ? If so, regular season ranking means nothing as long as you get to the playoff...
Well except playing for the team you want to avoid in the first round.

I know it's only scrimmage games right now, but it's good to see the NBA back. I highly doubted it was going to happen with the amount of COVID cases, especially to some of their marquee players.

Are they broadcasting the games on TV or is streaming the only option? I've only seen highlights so far.

Lebron is really steering into the old man aesthetic now. I'm liking it.

Lou Williams caught today attending a strip club in ATL when he said he had to leave the bubble for a funeral. DJ he was partying with shared it briefly to his Instagram before deleting, but it was too late. Guy apparently tweeted out it was an old pic of him & Lou, but Lou is wearing the mask they passed out to all the players in the bubble.

Gonna be interesting to see how the league handles this case.

I think the only home court advantage you get is that the announcer says your name more cheery when you score.

Weird both 8 seeds lost Game 1. There's virtually no home court advantage so seeding is less relevant. However, talent trumps talent in the NBA. I'm sure Giannis and LBJ bounce back.

Yah this year's playoff is all about who wants it more...

There is no crowd. It is all about the players themselves.... As a Die hard Lakers fan, base on the past 8 games, it just seems Portland is more desperate than Lakers... which is funny considering Lakers havent been part of the playoff since 2013.... And it is the type of opportunity that AD has been asking for. Playing for a real title contending team.

So Lakers theoretically should be more Hungry....

we will see...

T-Wolves get the #1 pick. Bulls move up to the #4 slot.

Sadly, no generational player this year, I don't think? For Chicago, why do I get the feeling Ball falls to them? Then again, do they need him with White in the backcourt already?

let's see how those bandages will affect his shooting tomorrow...

They will have no chance even if he is at 90%. He needs to be at 130% every night...

So it is safe to assume that Portland gave up

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is out for Game 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers after being diagnosed with a right knee sprain, the team announced.

NHL sadly, dinosaur on it as usual...then again, most Americans don't care about hockey anyways?

The sooner Americans realize that segments of the world do not exist in a vaccum, that what one person does effects others, the better.
Pro athletes should use their platform to make positive changes in society. Just my thoughts on it of course.

The 2 teams that most likely to win decided not to play.. that says a lot... They are practically giving up a championship!

I think they will play too...

The article mentioned that strike is banned under their Collective Bargaining Agreement. and also

In a players' meeting on Wednesday night, the LA teams were reportedly the only two NBA teams who voted to boycott the NBA season. Charania, who cites unnamed sources in his reporting, said all other NBA teams voted to continue playing.
Visit CNN.com/sport for more news, features, and videos
The vote that was taken doesn't appear to be binding. According to Wojnarowski, who cited unnamed sources, it was more of a poll than a final vote.
