I mean, let me level that, if a superstar player hijacks his current franchise so that he could join all the cool boys in LA or whatever, that trade sucks too. If I were the GM, I'd trade him to the Alaska QAnon FNBA team.

I personally have no problem with a team with 2 superstar + 1 star aka the big 3...

It has been around since the 90s...

Now when you entire roster could be starters on other teams... aka GS with KD... then that is a different story..

Miami could not win until either Shaq or Lebron James joined Dwade... Lakers had Kobe/Gasol/Shaq
Celtics had big 3... Spurs had big 3s... Warriors had big 7....

It was him and his clown show act that ruined UFA when he took his services along with every all-star to Miami a few years ago. This new "NBA" format of UFAing all the megastars is his crap doing. Who needs competition when you just destroy everyone?

Before him, there was your Bulls, Lakers and Celtics.. What LBJ did wrong was he commercialized it, which made it a bigger deal than it actually is.

I think Bucks and Clippers and Rockets or a health GS and Nets will offer plenty of competition for the Lakers. But it is not Lakers fault if they keep choking when it mattered.
Actually Among those teams, Lakers are probably not even the # 1 pick to win it all...

K. Look, again, let be really clear here: I don't have as much "hate" if a team trades for their assets. Sure, to a degree now, some megastars may hold their team hostage and refuse to accept a trade anywhere except to 'location X' but trades are fine.

What I am taking exception to here is when there is an outright collusion at UFA between these guys and they all agree to go to a certain city. Other teams are basically used as bargaining chips when they have zero intention of signing. That is the bitterness I felt when LeBron, Bosh, and ChewslikeaCamel did that a few years ago before ending up in Miami. Anyways, all good. Basketball sucks. All teams are just farm systems for LA, Miami, and Boston to sign up when UFA hits anyways.

I am a big pro-sports fan as you guys can tell with my activity in here. Just really all this "hate" is just jearous at how the Bulls are perpetual mediocrity and how Rose basically lost both his legs in his prime. It's like the eternal curse of MJ. Yet...Lakers had Kareem, Magic, and then Beef and Shaq...and still can sign LeBron. Complete horsebleep.

just to be clear Miami is not a big salary cap team either. We only have 3 championships here unlike LA or Boston. Hell Chicago has more than us. We just have one guy that makes it attractive to come which is the godfather pat riley.
