Why in all get-up would Philly trade their most reliable offensive option in the playoffs for shittier players and draft picks?
Apparently Houston would offer 2 of Capela, Gordon, and Tucker. Because Philadelphia is lacking a decent centre and wing options.
Philly's current team is a championship contender - This trade wouldn't make them better at all.

Report: Los Angeles Lakers unload trio, create max cap space
The Los Angeles Lakers' price tag for Anthony Davis got a little steeper on Thursday, with the tradeoff being that the team now has the flexibility to bring another max-contract star to play alongside him and LeBron James next season.
A person with knowledge of the negotiations told The Associated Press that the Lakers will send Moritz Wagner, Issac Bonga, Jemerrio Jones and a future second-round pick to the Washington Wizards as part of the deal that will bring Davis to Los Angeles. The Wizards will send cash to the New Orleans Pelicans in the deal, said the person who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the agreement cannot be finalized until July 6.

just read that AD is waiving his $4 Million Kicker... i dont understand why would he wanna do that. Yes it helps the Lakers but $4 million?
I guess when you have hundred of millions... He doesn't see $4 million the same way as rest of us...

This offseason is going to be nuts.
In other news, Darren Collison retired. Seems really early, but good for him. He had a solid career imo.

Butler deal still isn't done. Miami needs to unload some cap and might have to unload Dragic to do so. At least we got Whiteside's contract off the books. Good luck with that Portland.
Brought some of my super team luck with me as I was in Brooklyn Saturday.

The butler deal is done now..
and
maybe im a Durant hater, but WHY are the Warriors going to retire his number. He Is a player who came to a 73 winning team, he honestly is nothing special to the team. Again, maybe I’m a hater but I don’t see why retiring number 35 is a big deal...

Yup agreed. If anything Raptor should retire Kawhi's # if he is not returning. It actually means something...
Didn't the Warrior already won the title the year(s) before KD joined?

I highly doubt Warriors win both '17 and '18 championships without KD. He was Finals MVP both times, they barely squeaked past the Rockets last year, and if KD isn't on the Warriors he's likely on another team which is a deep playoff threat.
Someone, someone has to pick up Cousins. I don't get how he has no market. Dude is still a powerhouse on the post who can shoot - he doesn't need to be the most athletic.

To me and apparently to a lot of people, he creates so much destructive drama and he is not very coachable.
From basketball side, he just came off a major injury and he did not prove much during Warriors final games.
He will get signed, but much less than what he thinks he is worth... at least until he has proven that he is 100%.
All of them will get signed once Kawhi gets signed.

Battle of LA...but, I do like the Clippers with Williams, Kawhi, and George. They just need to stay healthy but then again, the Lakers are pretty frail to with AD and Lebron getting up in age.
It's too bad Kawhi would not stay in Toronto but ultimately, he had the right to go home.

yeah, because he would have gotten along just fine with LeBron had he signed with the Lakers

So, Cousins, LeBron, and Unibrow...and Rondo. That's like the all-IR squad given their recent track history.

This seems more like it's just someone angry because they're a Lakers fan and Leonard schemed to screw the Lakers. I highly doubt that this person was angry when LeBron and Anthony Davis schemed to get onto the Lakers, nor were they angry when LeBron and Davis and the Lakers cleared cap space in anticipation of netting Leonard. If that were to happen, it would just be laughing at the Warriors, the Raptors, the Celtics, and everyone else in the league while congratulating the Lakers for being brilliant. Notice that Lakers fans had no problem with Davis screwing over the Pelicans and just shrugged and said "business."
Did Leonard "use" the Lakers? Possibly, but it's not like that guy knows or not because nobody knows what Leonard ever said to them, if anything. All we know is that LeBron was "expecting" him to sign. Is Leonard shady? Possibly, but if he is, it's not because of what he just did. Anyone who said he wasn't a schemer in how he treated San Antonio and then now says he is a schemer in how he treated Los Angeles is clearly just a homer. He treated them both the same, so if you defended him when it came to San Antonio, then you deserve what he did to Los Angeles. Don't go back and say "oh, wow, Skip Bayless was right ...but only because he didn't sign with us."
The entire NBA is sea of mental retardation and everyone in it deserves each other. Russell Westbrook got screwed by Paul George. But then again, Russell Westbook chased everyone else out of OKC and is a diva, plus he's now going to be traded. Paul George screwed Indiana before he screwed OKC. LeBron has screwed everyone, including the Lakers and everyone who played with him. Chris Paul is screwing the Rockets. James Harden is screwing the game of basketball. As already mentioned, Leonard screwed San Antonio and then Toronto. Davis screwed New Orleans. Durant screwed OKC, then the Warriors screwed Durant, then Durant screwed the Warriors. The NBA Player's Association screwed everyone with their CBA, giving no-names "meager" $15 million/year contracts and mid-level role players $20-25 million/year. Meanwhile, regular season games are completely meaningless -- you can already pencil in almost every single post-season team right now and all you have to do is play 5 games to figure out the seeding. Then the post-season games are completely meaningless until the Finals.
Welcome to the NBA.
