So AD to Lakers and all of a sudden they are favorites to win the title? Dunno bout that.. they have no supporting cast.. right?

1 injury to Davis or James and they're the 2019 NBA Finals Warriors. If Randle stays with NOLA, that team will give us a glimpse of what LA might have been if they'd keep their youngsters longer than 2 damn years.

Magic is now going to comeback and play guard. :O

DTvn 06-16-2019 09:09 PM

If they can snag one of Kemba or Kyrie I don't see why they wouldn't be favorites

They gave up their depth for KD.

Shoot I can't see link at work. So if Klay stays and KD opts out they're still over the cap? I guess KD had Bird rights or whatever to exceed the cap?

Randle opted out yesterday.

This offseason is going to be crazy.

They can be said to just about every Champ contenders out there.

Any season ending injury to their #1 star on the team = instant gone fishing...

the NBA history has proven that once you have enough superstars, plenty of "cheap" talents can be had for $1M... at least for 1 year

KaMLuNg 06-18-2019 09:52 AM

wtf is LaVar smoking... he's a tool..

DTvn 06-18-2019 10:37 AM

They just need to get some shooters around Lebron.. the formula has been there for a while now which is why last years Lakers signings made zero sense. Reddick, Lamb, Danny Green or Ariza come to mind. Or imagine Seth Curry coming to LA and winning a championship

subinf 06-18-2019 11:16 AM

LaVar is just trying to keep his name in the headlines. I hadn't seen anything about him over the last six months or so. I'm guessing he will become irrelevant again in a week or so.

That is one of the other bright spot in this trade.. not only we are getting AD... we got rid of the ball family!! That is like winning x2

Doom878 06-19-2019 12:33 PM

Probably not because rumors having him opting to LA Clips but he could still re-sign for a 1/1 option.

Mike Conley was traded to Utah for Grayson, Crowder, and Korver.

Middleton opted out but might get a max deal to stay with the Bucks.

oonowindoo 06-19-2019 12:37 PM

He should not go to the Clippers. They were still the #2 team in LA, even when they were better than the Lakers.

New York or Chicago.. or maybe even Lakers :wish: or stay in the North.

I hope the Bucks let Middleton walk. We would tie up to much money for a streaky player...

So, does the Robot stay in Toronnah or spring for LA?

I agree but Kawhi is different man. Especially his robotic parade laugh :snicker:

Aman 06-20-2019 04:35 PM

^ Highlight of my day, that was.

I think it's now slightly more lucky he signs with us on a 1+1. 5-year max would be amazing, but probably not gonna happen. A lot of big pieces are up for new contracts next year and we have no idea what the team will look after next year.

Doom878 06-21-2019 07:42 AM

He was at a Jays game yesterday. He's so staying!!!

Pels collecting picks after trading their #4. How many young guys are they trying out, shit I'm going to go try out.

Did you guys hear about Rob fucking up the Anthony Davis trade by not making it effective July 30th to acquire more cap space and able to fit a 3rd max contract. WOW

BreezyTL 06-25-2019 04:02 PM

Congrats to Giannis for winning the MVP and also congrats to Coach Bud for Coach of the Year!! Big things to come next year. Fear the Deer!!

says no one ever :D

It seems Houston had something to say about the MVP tho ...

Doom878 06-26-2019 07:33 AM

Heard a rumor that Brooklyn will renounce rights to D'Angelo Russell so that they can acquire Kyrie. And guess who's interested in Russell....Lakers :what: #wojbomb

Also are we leaving this open till October or do we need an off-season thread? I mean the draft already happened and AD got traded.

Off-season thread. NBA awards are officially over.

Houston's just sour that Harden didn't win.

He scores so much because he hogs the ball and the refs don't call travel on him. Dude shot 3,338 times last season/playoffs and hit 41% of them. Plays very little defense and cries when his beard is touched. Missed 739 3pt shots, made only 378 - 36.5%.

On the other hand, Giannis is on both ends of the court making plays and carried 52% from the floor in shooting. 20 more Dbl-Dbls than Harden but 2 less Triple-Dbls and played 6 games less than Harden.

Yumcha 06-26-2019 11:48 AM

:spit:

Reading that the Rockets want to sign Butler to join this toxic sludge. That will be awesome.

BreezyTL 06-26-2019 12:45 PM

KD declines 31.5M to go unrestricted!!

Yumcha 06-26-2019 02:26 PM

Kraft Dinner to the Knicks!

I thought they were gonna re-sign him and trade, so he could get more $$.

Doom878 06-27-2019 07:51 AM

Dang. Read that Lakers want to sign J.R. Smith

BreezyTL 06-27-2019 08:34 AM

We've seen this before...

oonowindoo 06-27-2019 04:22 PM

Please no... JJ R. FTW...

Aman 06-27-2019 04:40 PM

Tbh, besides The Blunder, I think JR could still be a contributor to an NBA team. Somewhere. Maybe not LA, but somewhere.

oonowindoo 06-27-2019 05:18 PM

Go to New York or Houston... that is where he belongs..

Aman 06-27-2019 07:05 PM

Didn't you hear? Philly is signing an trading Butler to Houston for Clint Capela and some picks.

DTvn 06-27-2019 07:41 PM

I like what Cleveland is building right now. Garland and Sexton are gonna be the next Dame/CJ

BreezyTL 06-28-2019 08:45 AM

KD/Kyrie to Brooklyn talk?

Yumcha 06-28-2019 09:45 AM

Can Kyrie and Kraft Dinner co-exist?
