I bet the Warriors are looking back at that game vs the Lakers now and thinking how crucial that loss was. That should have been a cake walk

I didn't watch the game, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say Utah just let Kobe play since it's a non factor game for both teams?

I'm just happy to see the GSW hype train of 73-9 given zero fucks after Kobe's game. Someone at ESPN must be banging their head for bumping Kobe to ESPN2 for the Warriors.

Actually... he had 50 attempts, so 60 points is pretty bad when you look at the big picture. When he had his 81 point game he had 46 attempts.
And yes, it looked like a combo of the Jazz not giving a fuck and everyone on the Lakers constantly giving it to Kobe.

Also out of the 81 points, how many were free throws? and Kobe is now 37 with 3 major injuries... not the same kobe anymore.
and you can't make it up even if you tried during the last 3 minutes of the game.

i was pretty depressed last night needless to say.
haters or not, no one could deny how much impact Kobe has done to the game domestically and internationally.
There have been only 2 so far in the history of NBA who had those kind of followings and influence. MJ and Kobe. That is it.
His presence alone is enough to make the game more entertaining to watch... and other fans were willing to pay to hate on him is an accomplishment itself.
I am sad...

Definitely the end of an era. As a basketball enthusiast, I have nothing but respect for Kobe's game and career.
Now, Let's Go Spurs!

if someone can make 22 out of 50 on a nightly basis.. close to 50%. that is pretty damn good.

I had a friend who was at the game last night. He said the experience was amazing and does not regret paying the 1800 dollar ticket. He said all in all he paid close to 4K for the whole trip... I was going to go and probably should have. I'm still havin a hard time realizing Kobe has hung it up. I went and bought the Kobe 11s the ones he wore last night. But won't be getting them for 4 months.
The hater commercial is hilarious, if anyone has yet to see it. Living in Sacramento all the Laker/Kobe haters are here so people on my Facebook could care less.... Love or hate him you should respect the game he played and he did a helluva good job playing it.

Wouldn't bet on a sweep just yet. Beverly will be ready this time, Haren has actually been playing well at the end of the season, and we saw Howard finally play like he should have been from the start in the Playoffs last year.
They also have Josh Smith back iirc, and there should be at least 1 game where the basketball gods actually gift him the talent to score. Same for Brewer if his 3 ball gets hot early on. I think they'll steal one in Houston.

So, who can stop the Warriors...? I mean, anything can happen I guess but in a 7-game series, which team can take 4 from San Francisco/Oakland? None?
