^^shoulda been Adelman IMO. Browns gonna stay around a while though....that was Jimmy Buss's pick, and he tends to hold on to things too long (see Andrew Bynum).
I don't mind Mike Brown when our talent can win out, but in those close games, I don't trust him.

Good Riddance! To Stern stepping down.
This guy turned the NBA from a basketball sport to WWE style sports entertainment.
Marketing individuals, and catering to them thru-out the game......versus marketing the game and the teams.
It's a game of individuals. It used to be a team sport.

Wow. James Harden and scrubs was traded in a blockbuster trade with Houston for Kevin martin and draft picks. I dunno. This may haunt them in the playoffs but then harden wasn't really a factor in the finals. This may make the lakers the favorite in the west.

I can't believe that OKC didn't learn a lesson from the mistake the Celtics made with Perkins they should have paid Harden and they would have kept their strong core to make a run at the finals for years to come now they have broken up their strong team chemistry . I realize they didn't want to pay the luxury taxes but if they had won even one championship within the next 5 years it would have made it all worth it not to mention the merchandising money they made from the beard they will probably regret it just like the Celtics did.
Small market team small thinking, they weren't that far apart ($4.5mil) IMHO they should have signed Harden to the max and made a deal to trade Ibaka since they were worried about luxury taxes Harden was much more of a key player for them than Ibaka. In any case thank you Sam Presti for your small thinking you just made the Lakers path to the Finals a little easier.

The Harden trade fascinates me. I've read so many point of views. I don't even know how to opine myself. Some say that Harden should've taken the money to not break up the squad. Some praise OKC since Harden had a poor Finals. Some applaud him since he goes to Houston to be the man and gets paid. Some say OKC won out since they got a great 6th man in Martin and draft picks that Presti could flip into more talent. But yeah I'm thinking Lakers out of the West unless Martin really really clicks.

Season's greetings!!
A couple of season openers tonight....I think the Heat have several games lined up this week already.
Anywho....as for the Lakers. I don't think the preseason has solved isht. I think the most important indicator of the state of the Lakers will be who wins out between Mike Brown and Steve Nash.
You go out and get the most important point guard of the past decade, how can you not run his offense. I know Dwight, Kobe, and to a lesser extent Pau and Metta have been focal points at some point, Nash has to run things, IMO. If they are into the princeton fully, he won't be able to do that. Free Steve Nash...
The bench isn't very good, as we all know, but I think that's more of a rotation issue. You don't play all 5 bench guys at the same time. You rotate them in. If Nash and DH are out, play Kobe and Metta or something. But the bench shouldn't all be in at the same time. They're gonna get killed.
Anyways my .02....good luck to all other teams....

ugh, fucking TSN (Canadian ESPN) has the Mavs vs Lakers game on TSN2, which I don't have... while a stupid ass poker game is on TSN (which I DO have). I mean.... this is Canada's (basketball) pride and joy that's playing (Steve Nash), yet... nobody fucking cares about poker...
