But, in all seriousness, I'm sure you do Gibs...just that, I think he's staying in Cleveland.

I guess, on second though, it would make some amount of sense for both of them. Shaq gets one last shot at another title (5 to match Kobe's 5... possibly in a face-to-face NBA Finals matchup with beef-boy) and the Celtics get a part-time big man to start the season while Perkins recovers and then sub in for him during the playoffs. Hey, it worked with Alonzo Mourning and the Heat! I guess Shaq was taking notes back then... It could be perfect or it could be a disaster. I just keep telling myself that, after the '08 championship, anything else they get with this lineup is gravy.

Dan Patrick says that if lebron doesn't do the show at espn then if they set up in ny, Mia, chi, or clev they would know in advance. Kinda douchey to do iti in ny that you're stayin in Cleveland.

Well, there's still hope Da Bulls can get LeBron...
Otherwise, they better have a good Plan B...

At this point I don't think there is any chance that Lebron is going to the Heat because he wants to be the main star on the team and in Miami he would share that with Wade and I think that is why he was trying to recruit Bosh to Cleveland because Bosh is a level under him. I think he stays in Cleveland because they have shown they will do anything to satisfy him and that is an absolute unknown with the other teams.

They got him the coach he wanted, but they have failed getting him players that he needs to win. The Heat have put themselves in a very good position to keep Cavs from getting to the finals.

Yep...Boozer is not a bad Plan B to Bosh. Definitely a better performer in playoffs...then again, Bosh has not really played much in post-season.
My only concern is that Boozer is a bit injury prone.

Didn't know about boozer but makes sense since the 2 big men are spoken for. If amare is max contract then bosh is too. Many publications had him as the #1 pf above amare and boozer. Yeah he's not king or wade quality but the market and position determined that.
If bron leaves Cleveland who will sign there? Talk about a win and morale drop off.

Well, I still say Chicago is the best place for LeBron to LeSign...
Miami does not make sense to me, they have only 4 players signed to contracts next year. At least the Bulls have Rose, Noah, and Gibson...that's a solid group to join and definitely contender-worthy.

an asshole from florida
I know how cleveland would feel if lebron left. I kept thinking holy shit if wade left, the city of miami would end up feeling pretty damn stupid especially after all weve done for him.
aside from that i wouldnt feel too bad for too long if lbj came over to miami

it cracks me up that ESPN is whoring the fuck out of themselves on tomorrow's announcement

failhard.
I like him and all, but this is attention-whoring to the max. I mean, the guy got dunked on by a random kid from the streets and he choked so hard I'm surprised a trainer didn't go all Heimlich on his ass during Game 5 against Boston.

according to espn reports, he's going to mia. After Bosh agreed to mia i originally thought James would stay in cleveland but the more I thought about it, it really wouldnt make sense and I thought about him MAYBE going to NY or possibly even Chicago.
If he really goes to Mia, it would mean title(s) for them. It hurts his "brand" a little because that is still wade's team but if he wants rings soon, then miami is the best place for him. The Nets would have been best for him from a business standpoint. The new owner would have gotten him huge endorsement deals in Russia and I could see Lebron in commercials over there speaking Russian.

but i don't see him going to Chicago... Jordan already built a dynasty there... LBJ needs somewhere fresh to build his dynasty IMO...

You forgot about Boozer & Deng in CHI. If LBJ went to Chicago, he would be the star and they would have a legit shot winning a title because of him.
In MIA, he's sharing the spotlight with Wade and Bosh and it's not really his team or his accomplishment if they win the ring.
How does staying in Cleveland make any sense other than hometown loyalty?
