Safety Car
Garnett suspended for one game for Game 1's elbow incident.

Yeah, unless Richardson said something disrespectful to Pierce while he was down, that first elbow was uncalled for; but it looked to me that Richardson just wanted to see if Pierce was ok. The 2nd elbow was a lot worse, but it was hard to see if someone was grabbing KG and he just wanted to get out. In either case, even though I love KG I can agree with the suspension.

I am ok with the suspension, but what upsets me is that I thought Richardson should have also gotten a suspension for instigating the incident. If he just went to his bench nothing would have happened. He knew that he would only stir things up by going over there...

Garnett "is an actress and so is Paul," Richardson said. "I was going to take the ball out over there. That was what I was trying to do. I told our trainer Jay [Sabol] that [Pierce] is cool and he's doing what he always do, lay down like it's a season-ending injury, then he gets up and he's miraculously fine. He gets a breath, takes his time or whatever and he did the same thing.

folks are starting to learn about the real KG.
like i said, the dude is a talented player. one of the greatest PFs ever and transcended the position (although, if you ask me, he's just webber with better defense.)
anyways, dude is very talented and has a lot of passion. but behind the chest pounding, yelling, growling, etc, dude i soft. if you hit him, he won't fight back.
ask anthony peeler.

i remember when Q got mad at PP a few years ago because PP did the double fist bump (the one that Q and darius miles used to do) to mock him.
then Q got upset.
people can hate PP all they want. but PP >>>>> Q.

I like Denver to win as well, but they too often shoot themselves in the foot in close games.
The jazz are undermanned, but they tend to be steady and have a very well worn-in offense. So I think the loss of Okur and AK47 isn't as daunting. I was pretty surprised by fesenko or whatever his name is, but Denver will account for him now that they know he's filling in for okur.
Every game will be close, and I see Denver in 6 as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see this go 7 though.

but yes, Paul is and has been a franchise player. Q switched more teams this summer than I switched shorts.

Boston's on cruise control .. without KG even, I'm surprised.
I think Denver will take the series in 6 as well, but the Jazz are gonna put up a hell of a fight.
I underestimated Deron Williams a bit .. he's arguably the best point guard in the league after all. He showed last night, he knows how to take over the game if some of his other players are injured.

They can be a elite team, they have just have seemed to be on cruise control for the past few months. I hope they continue to turn it up like they have these two games...
Assuming we get past Miami, they Cleveland series should be a fun one...

Good shit Paul. Made up for the bitch flop a couple games ago.
I like how the two underdogs yesterday threw a big middle finger at the people who thought they'd get swept.
