I think Kimbo can legitimately compete but not at a high level.. he needs to start from the bottom and he needs to work on his conditioning. Mitrione is a monster, he's a big lanky looking kid with a long reach who loves to scrap with his heavy hands and heavy feet. Are none of you impressed how Kimbo threw Mitrione's 260+ frame around? I think Kimbo has a lot of heart, he didn't give up and worked his way through but just didn't have much in the tank going into the second round.. that's been his biggest problem fighting with these heavyweights, he gasses out. Regarding Mitrione.. I'd like to see him match up against Lesnar.

Regarding Daley, he threw a haymaker (his left hook) trying to KO Koscheck at the end of the 3rd and final round. This is after the ref separates them and Koscheck is walking to his corner. Koscheck got into his head but Daley's the one who killed his career in the UFC.. pretty retarded move, especially when he didn't KO Koscheck (looked like it glanced off his brow) and it's fucking Koscheck.. he's a douchebag.. not worth it.

Damn, Machida got pwned. Did not expect that. Wasn't that the first time Lyoto has ever been knocked out in UFC?!?

Rua deserves the victory, hell he deserved it last October. Guess he gets the Rampage-Evans winner. Doesn't seem like anyone can retain the light heavyweight championship for more than 1 year.

Koscheck looked good. Did he tell Daley to f-ck off when Daley came to congratulate him after the 3rd round ended?

Who does Koscheck get next, rematch with GSP?

Yep Koscheck will be the opposing coach in TUF.. he'll match up with GSP again.. should be good.

It looked like Koscheck was talking shit in the mount before the fight ended (probably about Daley's mama) and the sucker punch was his congratulatory fuck you.

This was the first time Machida has even been knocked down let alone KO'd.. His fucking eye in the end was gruesome.

Interesting UFC event. Fun to say the least.

Machida v. SHogun - Awesome. Glad it ended in a knock out. And big ups to Rua for stopping even before the ref had to jump in there. Showed what a true MMA fighter is supposed to do, instead of what that chump Paul Daley did.

Koschek v. Daley - Koschek started talking trash to Daley in the final seconds of the third round (which was visibly making Daley upset) but Daley couldn't do anything on the ground and Koschek pretty much dominated Daley in the ground game. Still though, as professionals, you shouldn't lose your cool in front of the media like that and although harsh, I think White made a good decision to cut Daley.

^I noticed that too about Rua pausing after his first right knocked out Machida when he had him in full mount. He could have continued raining haymakers but that showed a lot of class

I agree that he has potential but it's as if he goes into the ring and forgets everything. Plus his cardio by now should've been much better. Most fighers after TUF usually have improved cardio. If Kimbo was like 5 years younger than he'd probably still be in UFC but I think he's peaked overall. Maybe he'll do good in Strikeforce if he signs there.

I think we'll definitely see him in Strikeforce, even though they're currently claiming they aren't interested:

http://www.examiner.com/x-43081-Jers...-signing-Kimbo
Strikeforce says "no" to possibility of signing Kimbo

It seemed in heavy favor that Strikeforce would take Kimbo on as he is a rating machine—whether MMA fans love him or hate him they are most likely going to watch his fights to see what happens next, but Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker has clearly stated that his organization will not be signing the heavyweight fighter.

Coker stated that the main reason for the decision is that current Strikeforce fighter Fedor Emelienanko is "too expensive." Fedor is rated as the number one heavyweight in the world and simply a fan favorite. He is Strikeforce's biggest attraction and it's a guarantee that MMA fans will tune in each time he steps into the cage.

Meh. Kimbo has no choice but to sign for chump change. These fighters get paid next to nothing anyways except for Fedor.

If Evans want to even compete with Jackson he should take it to the ground. Evans ground game is his only advantage over Jackson, there is no way he can stand and bang with Jackson.

I'm gonna be in Vegas this weekend. Unfortunately none of the guys I'm going with are as big fight fans as I am, so I wasn't able to get anyone else to shell out a couple hundred bucks for tickets. But I'm probably going to check out the UFC Fan Expo on Saturday. My plan after that is to hit a big money jackpot some point before fight time and then buy a bunch of ringside seats from a scalper.

I'm actually leaning towards Rashad a little, only because I think Rampage might have some ring rust - its been almost 15 months since his last fight. Either way though, these guys hate each other so much that its gonna be a great fight!

Wow, shocked at you Rampage go-getters. I'm going to lean the other way and say Rashad is going to catch Rampage.

Can't wait for the weigh in and "touch gloves" part. Ohhh boy this is gonna be good!

I think Rampage may be a little rusty from his time off and filming the A-team. However, his hatred for Sugar is so deep and Rashad is such a douchebag that I'm going to pull for Rampage.

I take Bisping, Nogueira, and Sanchez (looking to redeem himself after getting blown up by BJ).

May be on Kauai Saturday so hopefully I can find some place showing the fight.

I share the same sentiments with the good doctor regarding Evans.

That and I love Rampage... that dude is so funny and hilarious. I bet he'd be awesome to train/hang out with.

Gonna have some homeys over on saturday to watch the fight and celebrate my birthday thats coming up. Should be epic!

My impeccable timing has me in Peru for the next week so hopefully I can find a place showing the fight. Nothing beats watching it live even if on a stream.

I like Rashad over Rampage. Stylistically it's a great match up but I think his quickness, ground game and game plan from Greg Jackson will be the difference as long as he can avoid playing into Page's head games.

I like Bisping, Lil Nog, Sanchez and Duffee to take their fights respectively. The Bisping vs Miller should be a fast paced, both guys have great cardio and like to put on a good show.

What a show.. definitely didn't disappoint. It was Rashad's night but his lights went out.. whoa. Definitely don't square off with Rampage. Rampage was a little rusty but he seemed comfortable. I wouldn't have scored that fight 30-27.

Damn.. Duffee got KTFO! Duffee was pounding the shit out Russow for 3 rounds, completely one sided and then BOOM! Definitely KO of the night honors. The fight reminded me of Silva vs. Chonan.. Silva is controlling the fight and making Ryo his personal punching bag then boom.. flying heel hook out of nowhere for the win.

Mad props to Dong Hyun Kim.. He needs to work on his stamina but I expect some big fights from him in the future.

Other than the Duffee surprise KO, UFC 114 was meh to me. I couldn't believe how Rampage let Rashad recover for over two minutes after he almost knocked him out . I guess I was expecting a full out war in the middle of the cage, not a battle of hugging and positioning against the cage . Hey Rashad did what he had too, sort of looked l like Machida out there, too bad for him, I hate that guy too. Rashad needs to beat Shogun and after a few title defense wins rematch with Rampage (I know, easier said than done). This way they could go five rounds with eachother, damn I wish last nights fight would have went 5 rounds.

Some other notes:
Sanchez has lost his luster, back to the gym for you. Maybe drop back down a weight class and rematch BJ..I kid..I kid . Taking nothing away from Hathaway, that guy is hella good!

Nogueira lost that fight, period.

It was a great fight. It could have gone either way and that's exactly what the judges saw. Nogueira controlled the ring most of the fight and dominated the third. Brilz obviously dominated the second round. The first round could have gone either way. If you want to win you don't let it go to the judges. To make a statement that Nogueira lost that fight is foolish. Split decision 29-28's across the board was one of the few decisions from the judges that I have ever agreed with.

Sanchez is a great fighter.. Hathaway is just a monster compared to him.. He definitely shouldn't have moved up in weight.

I think Brilz won both the first two rounds.

Duffee knockout was surprising.... out of nowhere *bap* and he's down, heh. Plus dude looks like a smaller Lesnar

I missed the Sanchez Hathaway fight but I did catch that killer knee to the head. Ouch

You're saying Brilz won the second round, but Nogueira won the third and that the first could have gone either way? If Nogueira clearly dominated the fight than yes it would be foolish to say he lost, but by your logic he didn't. In that case, I thinks it foolish to say that Nogueira won . The crucifix at the end is what sealed the victory for him, plus being a Nogueira doesn't hurt either. Damn I hate it when it goes to a decision.

Damn Rampage and Rashad, their inability to finish the fight cost me $200! On the positive side, I got to meet Shane Carwin. Really cool guy, but frighteningly large. I definitely felt like less of a man standing next to him.

I never said he won. I said it was a close match and I disagreed that either of them won that fight outright.
