I haven't quite followed his promotion to the Jays...is he as advertised?

It was a big deal obviously because of pedigree and his swing is exactly his dad's. He crushed the minors last year and people thought they waited too long to call him up. Only batting .240 5 HR 11 RBI but Toronto overall isn't great.

^ I think it will take him a year or two to really pick it up. He's still so young. I don't see his frame aging well though.

Who here thinks the new proposal of nets going from the dug outs to the foul pole is absolutely ridiculous? This has come about after the 4 year old with a ball @ the Cubs/Astros game. I'm sorry it is sad a 4 year old was hit but if you sit in the zones where foul balls go you need to pay attention at all times when someone is up to bat. Hate to say it is part of the game to be that close but those damn nets make me sick trying to focus thru them to watch the game. I love the 1st and 3rd base line seats with no nets!

Scam artists. Huizenga was the original owner and claimed he couldn't make money without a stadium deal because the Marlins were playing in the Dolphins' stadium. So he called the county's bluff and unloaded and then sold the team a few years later. Then the next owner claimed the same thing after 03 and got the stadium deal done after breaking up the team. Then they added players the year they got a stadium, sucked, and then unloaded those players too. So yeah I was done. I think if Jose Fernandez doesn't die they keep Stanton and Yelich a little longer and make a run and probably don't sell it to Jeter.

That Yankees/Sox series produced some football scores. Saturday we went to eat and it was like 6-6 in the 3rd. When we left they were in double figures.
