Should be a fun series. I suppose if there's one team in MLB that I'm OK with the Indians losing in the World Series to, it's the Cubs. That being said, go Tribe! The homer in me says Tribe in 6.

I think its hit me more and im sure Doom as well being both native South Floridians and knowing how much he meant to people. I mean people came to see him despite the horrible owner in Loria, but people gave in to see him. I think its so ironic that how many times he risked his life coming here and even risking it for his mother that fell off the boat/raft, but to pass away from a boating accident later on.

There's a reason he's my favorite player on the team. When he's locked in like right now, he totally unhittable. He'll likely only go 6 tonight though, then hand the ball to Miller.

Oh, I know. I have had Kluber for a few seasons now in my keeper's League. He got me a few gem games...like the one he tossed against the Cards with 18 strikeouts in 2015.

His 2014 season was nearly automatic.

I scooped him up in a keeper league when he first came up too actually, been a fixture on my team every since. I watch most of his starts on TV during the year too, I hadn't seem him that locked in since that 18 K night honestly.

What an escape act by Miller. Ugh...not sure why Cubs tried to pull a Blue Jays and swing...why not bunt with no outs with the bases loaded?

That's the most damage I've seen anyone do against Miller, nearly gave me a heart attack.

Still a long way to go and the Cubs are really good. We never know what version of Bauer is going to show up on any given day.

Well, of course, ESPN had to pour salt by showing the stats of how teams have fared in the WS after losing game 1. It's quite favorable to the Aboriginals.

3 more wins!

Arrieta with a gem of a game. And looks like the gamble to bring in Kyle Schwarber has paid off so far. He's looked good at DH.

Oh, Schwarber is back from an injury? I don't think they've mentioned that in the broadcast so far.

Edit: On a more serious not, Cubs played a great game. Didn't think this would be easy for either team. Interesting stat for you, the Indians haven't lost 4 in a row at any point this year.

Crazy...Jose Fernandez apparently had coke and booze in his system at the time of death.

That's really unfortunate if it led to the tragic accident.

Let's see if Cubbies can pull even tonight. Indians leading by 1 after an error-riddled 2nd by the Chicago infield.

If the cubs can't rein in their worst instincts (swinging at just about anything) and their yips (infielder errors) this thing is over tonight.

The problem with the Cubs lineup is that while they're all fantastic hitters, they're notoriously undisciplined. To be expected from a team that's made up of mostly guys under 25, but the Indians have very disciplined and veteran pitchers that are able to take advantage of it. One of my buddies called every pitch that Baez would swing and miss at at the end of the Game 3 before Allen even threw it.

Until the last out of the game tonight is made with the Indians in the lead I won't unclench. The Cubs had the best record in baseball for a reason this year, and anything can happen, but holy shit, this might actually be happening. I cried as a kid in '97 when Nagy gave up the winning run in extras (and Jose Fucking Mesa gave up the tying runs in the 9th), and as cool as the Cavs winning was, the Indians have always been and will always will be my favorite team.

All this being said, even if he Cubs don't win this year, they have the an amazing roster and will be back in the next 3 years at least once, and as long as they aren't playing the Indians again, I will be rooting for them when that comes around, they, and their fanbase, deserve a title too.

Live for another day. What a gritty game by the Cubs...and Chapman getting 8 outs.
